I bought a brand new set of tires from them, they put a new tire on a cracked rim and let me drive home like that. Next morning, my tire is flat. Went to a different Les Schwab and they actually showed me the crack in my rim. When I went back to the Federal Way Les Schwab, the only answer I received from the Assistant Manager was "well if we had seen the crack we would have told you about it" meaning they don't thoroughly inspect your rims/tires when you pay for a service there. I am baffled they let me drive home that day but I am thankful nothing serious happened to me. The only reason this is a 2 star review and not a no-star review is because one of the employees/supervisors came out to my car, as I was leaving after I had come in to explain how disappointed I was in the service, and he worked out a deal to get me a used (non-cracked) rim that week. I wish I remembered his name, he deserves a raise. I will not be returning to this Les Schwab ever again, I trusted them & they put my safety at risk in return. I went to the tire specialists expecting proper inspections to be done and to leave with a safe set of tires. I'm no car-expert, but even I could see the crack in my rim once the other Les Schwab showed me, however I don't work with rims and tires so I had no idea nor had I known to even look for that. If they could identify the issue so quickly, why couldn't this Les Schwab do the same? I also wanted to note that the young lady at the front desk was very helpful, understanding, and kind each time we interacted. I believe she had long curly brunette hair, probably about 5'10", she was great! She and the other gentleman who helped me get a rim for my car were my saving grace during this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to take my car's here for many years. Had some shaking in my steering wheel so I asked them if they could look to see if I "needed" an alignment and asked for an estimate. At first the lady didn't think they had an opening but she was able to slip me in. They said they would call me in a few hours. About 20 minutes before the store closed I came in to see if the car was done and she had said yes that they did the alignment and it was in the parking lot. I was a bit shocked and had told her that I was only wanting an estimate to see how much it would cost if I needed it. Thank goodness it was fairly reasonable but when she was reading me some paperwork she said that the text "suggested" that I get some tires here really soon. Told her I couldn't do it right then but I'd be doing it in the next week or two and she said good choice. I had left to find out that the car was still shaking. Ending up going to a buddy of mine and he went under the car to look that my tires were horrible and that they needed to be replaced and I most likely did NOT need an alignment. I did end up going to a different tire place to get my new tires, even they said that they were extremely bad.
Once I have the new tires I went back to Les Schwab to tell them what my experience was and they never even apologized or even suggested to make this right. I talked to one of the managers and had told him that I originally came in for an estimate that I did not know that my car was actually going to be worked on but it was too late by the time I got there to get my car.
I don't think I'll be going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately people here are not honest with their customers. My steering was stiff and pulled to the sides at high speeds so I called this location to have an inspection for a possible alignment. A lady on the phone helped me to make an appointment. I asked her how much it would cost and AFTER ASKING for the make and model of my car she said $89.99 plus tax. I brought my car the next day and had to drop it off since I was told that the wait time would be at least 40 minutes. When I wanted to pick up the car they billed me for $129. I asked why they did an alignment on all four wheels when only my front wheel had possible alignment issue, the front desk lady told me that itās how itās supposed to be done (which I am totally okay with) but when I asked why they gave me the wrong information on the phone she claimed that they always tell their customers both prices which in my case she clearly told me it would cost me $89.99 and nothing else. After driving my car for two block, my steering was still pulling to the sides. Since Les Schwab was not honest with me I took my car to Firestone this time. They said my stiff steering has nothing to do with the alignment. They collaborated my steering right in front of me by turning me steering to the sides a couple of times and resetting it and it fixed the issue. Since Les Schwab was not honest about their pricing I doubt that my car even needed an alignment in the first place. NOTE: Firestone charges $96 for the same type of alignment so always double-check the price with other shops before bringing your car to...
