I would not recommend anyone to stay here if your looking to stay at a place where you feel welcome. This is not the place. After the 3rd day of staying, we felt harassed and unwelcome. Even though our Don't disturb sign was on house keeping would knock and attempt to enter every morning before 930. Usually waking us up.Only to ask us if we were checking out or staying. We were told the other day room services needed to service our room. So we packed up some belongings and we left for 4 hours. I have been sick vomiting so the last thing I want to do is be bothered with petty stuff. Well we come back and our room wasn't serviced. I was upset because they made such a big deal about it. However I was to sick to make a big deal. The next morning at 830 in the morning we get a call from the front desk. Saying that we had to let house keeping in to service our room. When I told them I gave them 4 hours yesterday and nothing was done. Apparently the fact that the don't disturb sign was on was why they never came in. Even though they never respected the sign prior to that. The front desk agent told us we couldn't extend it until they serviced the room.. SO its 830 and my daughters only day off to sleep in and we gotta leave the room so they can service it. NEVER HAVE WE BEEN TREATED WITH SUCH RUDE SERVICE. As were getting our things ready the sign is still on the door and a house keeping person opened the door and asked of we were leaving. After I said we need a few more minutes she sat there in the door way just looking at us. Until I said we will be out of the room in a few moments. WE have felt harassed ever since. After we left and came back we were told by the front desk "THE MANAGER SAYS WE NEED TO SERVICE THE ROOM EVERYDAY!" No explanation as to why. Who would feel welcomed after all this. It didn't end there. The following day I extended. Which is today. Only after I pay am I told house keeping needs to service your room and the sign needs to be off the door prior to 11 am.. Are you kidding me? There is a sign on the door that says "Housekeeping is only provided upon request. At the bottom of the same sign its says " For longer stays service will be provided every 3rd night. To request more frequent service please contact the front desk before 11 am. AFTER today we will not extend and never again will I come back. I am 2 nights away from being a diamond member and unlike other hotels my status was never acknowledged. Not that's a big deal it just plays into the whole issue of not feeling...
Read moreThis was the worst experience I have ever had with a Quality Inn. We travel weekly and often stay at choice hotels including Quality Inns across 5 states.
My first issue is that my husband booked and paid for our room in advance, due to an emergency at home he was unable to travel with us this weekend. The front desk refused to allow me to check in, stating it was their policy that the person who paid the room must check in. We often book rooms for each other and have NEVER experienced this before. When asked for a written copy of that policy they could not provide it. They would not allow me to call my husband to verify or change the room name, instead canceling our reservation and insisting I pay with a different card unless I could provide a copy of my marriage certificate. Luckily I had another card but not everyone does. They then changed our room from a double Queen to a king suite because it was all that was available, even though my original double Queen room should have still been available. I was traveling with myself and two teenagers.
When we arrived in the room I went to set up the fold out sofa for my son, there was no bedding in the room for this. I went to the front desk and was told they only had flat sheets available, no blankets or pillows as the room was sold out. Why you wouldn’t have enough blankets to accommodate all the sleep options in your hotel is a mystery to me.
The next morning our room was INFESTED with ants, enough that the day shift front desk was even shocked by it. She stated to me that she knows there are ants and that management has been spraying but the amount in our room was disgusting. The snacks we had stored in the counter had to be thrown out. I have videos and pictures of this.
We were offered another room and while I was downstairs dealing with that the fire alarm went off for a solid 10 min and the front desk had to keep calling people trying to find someone to turn it off. She then issued us keys to the same room we already had and that needed to be corrected.
The staff were rude and unhelpful though the entire stay, we were I. Town for a huge swim meet I spoke with other families who stayed here and had a similar experience. Absolutely disappointing and will not stay here or recommend...
Read moreI did not rate our stay at the Quality Inn in Federal Way lower than 3-star or adequate, primarily due to the cleanliness of the room, which we appreciated. However, several aspects of the experience made it an unpleasant and inconvenient stay overall.
Unfortunately, we spent our first night with a window unknowingly left wide open—something housekeeping should have caught. The outside noise was loud and constant, and we initially tried to use the room’s heating and cooling unit to mask the sound; however, the controls were locked, preventing us from running the fan continuously for white noise. When we asked the front desk about ways to manage the noise, they were defensive and offered no helpful solutions. It wasn’t until we investigated on our own the next morning that we discovered the open window and realized we could at least use the bathroom fan to mask the outside noise.
The area itself can be quite noisy, with sirens, loud motorcycles, and people gathering in the parking lot. Guests may want to double-check the windows and consider using the bathroom fan to help reduce disturbances.
The breakfast experience left a lot to be desired. For a three-floor, large hotel, the breakfast room is closed in and very undersized with only about 20 seats. A posted sign on the locked entry door, indicated food was not to be taken out of the breakfast area, but with full tables each morning, we took ours elsewhere. Only one staff member was working the breakfast area during a very busy weekend. She was doing her best and working hard, but it was far more than one person could reasonably manage.
Other odd inconveniences included a sign limiting elevator use to two people at a time—leading to long waits—and the 24-hour coffee at the front desk not being available at all during our stay.
While we would not return, we want to acknowledge that the room was clean, which stood out in contrast to the...
