Do not shop at Kay Jewelers! Every time I go in the employees are so rude. I went in with my engagement ring we bought ten years ago with warranty to fix any defects. I took my ring in for inspection. The white gold was beginning to wear down after ten years and the back side of the ring was so thin it looked like it could snap. The lady told me they would definitely get that fixed. I also told her the milgrain (tiny metal beads) detailing were starting to wear away and I would like that repaired. She assured me it’d be fixed up. I come back to pick up the ring today and the milgrain is now almost completely gone the sides of the band smooth! And the back of the ring is still extremely worn and thin. They only resized the ring. The lady said she had no idea what I was talking about she didn’t know what tiny metal bead detailing was on a ring. That they redipped it and it made it smooth so now there was nothing that could be done. They took pictures of the ring and said yea we see what you mean please sign here. After signing they said ok you can go. I told them my ring looks completely different now without the milgrain detailing that wasn’t my ring I’ve had the last ten years and they lady said nothing we can do rudely. I will tell everyone I know not to shop at Kay Jewelers! So...
Read moreI went in on (3/24/23 at about 11:05) to get a cleaning of my ring and asked to see bands for my anniversary coming this year. It was like pulling teeth trying to get the lady behind the desk to help me, in the sales business you don’t greet customers from behind the desk, in my opinion. The manager I guess cleaned my ring and the other lady continued to sit behind the desk. The lady who cleaned my ring helped me look at bands. Then she wrote me off because I assume she got the hint I wasn’t buying that day. She told me they don’t make my ring anymore and said if I wanted it to match I would have to submit a “request”. I asked how often are those approved? She stated about 50/50. I asked to see a band and she gave her very rude opinion. She could have given her advice in a different tone and words. The ladies that work in the store are very friendly and polite and I really appreciate that because good customer service is very hard to find these days. Trina Rhodes made me feel very comfortable and she didn’t care if I was spending $5 or $5,000 so I really appreciate her warm smile and her patience shown with me today! And please let the young lady that helped me on the phone today with this computer stuff I really appreciate her as well. Not sure who the store manager is but you got some Winners in your young ladies there. I think you got some keepers.
