Belk — Attraction in Forest City

I gave this Belks location 4 stars and I feel like it probably deserved a lower score, but I’m trying to be less critical.

I live in a county named Rutherford County and we do not have a lot of shopping malls or stores to choose from when it comes to clothing and shoes.

Belks used to be the go to place if you wanted to get nice clothes and they are a little pricey, but sometimes they have really great sales and you would always have a fresh look.

Now I can honestly say Belk’s in Forest City, do not keep up with the seasons, they do not have an array variety, or anything of clothing in my opinion. On top of that the sizes they have in stock seem to either have all small sizes or all plus sizes to choose from. Who ever orders the inventory every week should probably be given a different job to work.

And usually only one register is open to checkout.

So if you’re in a hurry and you get behind someone slow or loaded down with multiple items to buy you just have to wait and be late or put the clothes back on the racks and deal with the fact that you’ve wasted a-lot of time picking out clothes that you can they longer bad, because you’re going to be late and then come back another day for the same thing to possibly happen again.

I know we are a small town, but we definitely need to pick...

I'm only giving it four stars because the clothing is no longer made in Europe it is made in Southeast Asia. Years ago when you bought a $500 suit it was worth it because it was made in Europe today you're paying $500 for a $5 suit because it's made in Southeast Asia such as Vietnam. That being said they have some terrific clothing I hope to get some T-shirts as well as perhaps a suit or dress clothes. They've got some of the best men's beachwear in the area another thing I do not admire about belks is the very limited men's big and tall and men's clothing in general. There are not as many customers as there once was. Yeah it is still very stylish place. It is located within the Tri-City Mall on highway 74 also known as college avenue ( I just wonder what dork done that to the darn highway) It is located in a wide open area but they do not have security cameras in the parking lot #Style #nc #travel #northCarolina #stylish clothing for men women boys and girls as well...

My wife and I were just in the Belks in Forest City,NC to buy a blanket. We waited in line for the two customers in front of us to be checked out. Both were upper class ladies and both paid with a credit card and went on their merry ol'way. My wife and I get to the register and the total came to $54.00 and some change. My wife pulled out her credit card and the cashier said Im gonna need to see your ID to, which would have been fine if it was policy and the other two ladies were asked the same question. This really offended us because neither of the ladies in front of us were asked to show the cashier their ID's but I guess we were profiled as poor white trailer trash who could only afford to shop this store if we had stolen someones credit card. Bottom line is that was the last time we shop at that snooty...
