MI Pueblito Mexican Restaurant Forest City — Restaurant in Forest City

Went in on a Sunday night. Service was terrible. We waited about 5 minutes before anyone even came to the host stand. Were seated with sets of silverware even though there was 4 of us. Once seated we were ignored for almost 15 minutes until we stopped a waitress and asked who our server would be. Some waiter came took or drink order and food order. He was in such a hurry is rushed away from the table before we could order one last thing. 3/4 dishes arrived together the other took another 5 minutes to be brought out.

Then came the bill my wife ordered nacho fajitas a dish on the menu. The bill had nachos charged added shrimp and add steak which makes it more than the actual dish. Guy at register refused to change it said it is always rang up this way. We eat at this one and the one in Rutherfordton often we know it's not.

We will not be returning to this location. With 3 other Mexican restaurants in the town this type of service and bill manipulation is intolerable.

Update 5-14-22 Went back with some friends same issues ran out of drinks multiple times. And had a price issue.

On the menu there are 2 cheese dips we ordered the large one $5 we get the bill its a $9 cheese dip!. I was not having it. Argued with the staff who says I ordered the large. Yes I said off the menu. He then pulls out their POS tablet and shows me there are 3 sizes on their system. I told him I can't see his system when I'm ordering off the menu someone should have said a large is $4 more then what's shown on the menu. I tried explaining customers can't see anything but what's on the menu you can't surprise people with a $9 bowl of cheese. My entree wasn't even $9. They finally charged me for the $5 one on the menu but we're through with...

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Forest City NC. I ordered 2 lunch favoritas on a Saturday and was eating the meals and found a hair in one of them. I immediately called restaurant. I told the lady who answered the phone what happened and I wanted my money back. She then offered to make meals over and I could come get them. I told her if I could just get them on a later date that would be fine. I gave my name only she said that was all she needed. So on Thursday I called in for my food and was telling this young lady what happened. She kinda knew because she knew my name and said it was for one meal. I said no mam it was for 2 because I threw both meals away after I found hair in one of my meals. So I was on hold for awhile because she had to call the girl that worked that day and so forth and so on. Well needless to say I go pick up my food and the girl that was at the front did not acknowledge me when I walked in and walked up to counter. I spoke and said my name and she just pointed at my bag like I was a dog. Im not the one who messed up my order they did. Great food HORRIBLE customer service And my chips...

I ate here once a few weeks ago ordering steak fajitas. They were surprisingly good and I complimented the manager. The steak had a charred edged as they should when properly cooked and tasted great. Fast forward to tonight when instead of cooking I suggested we order take out from Mu Pueblito. The steak fajitas appeared to be steamed, there was zero evidence of them having been cooked on a grill and absolutely no seasoning. The sides of sour cream, guacamole, lettuce were dumped into the same container as the refried beans so that was an utter mess. The cool items were now hot and this could have easily been avoided had they purchased foam portion bowls with lids from their foodservice salesman. The chips with cheese were packed together vs cheese sauce in its own container so the result was limp chips encrusted with congealed cheese ...disgusting.
