I Scream Gelato - Las Olas, FL — Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale

Maria is rude and unprofessional. I came here over the weekend and she had an attitude and mean mug as I was asking to test flavors. She ended up switching to help someone else and had the other young lady named Chatae help instead. Mind you I’m a black woman, I think Maria has an issue with people of color because even the guy behind me noticed how rude she was. Chatae was really nice and sweet. I watched as I was leaving how badly Maria was treating the other young lady who also is a minority. Smh this is the type of people we have running stores nowadays, it’s not a good look at all. I won’t be back if Maria is working. She also can’t handle working under pressure the line was long and she just had a mean mug the whole time with certain people, mainly people of color!

We stopped by this ice cream and coffee spot recently and had a mixed experience. The ice cream was definitely the highlight—rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Unfortunately, the drinks didn’t match the same standard.

We ordered drinks, and both were disappointing. What stood out immediately was that we never heard the espresso machine running, which made us a little suspicious. My coffee, in particular, was unusually hot—so hot that I burned my lips on the first sip. Even after waiting 10-15 minutes, it was still scalding, leading me to believe it had been microwaved rather than freshly brewed. I ended up tossing it out after a couple of attempts to drink it.

Great place if you’re in the mood for ice cream, but I wouldn’t recommend...

Absolutely amazing! I Scream Gelato Las Olas has quickly become my favorite spot to enjoy authentic, unique gelato. The variety of flavors is outstanding, each one crafted with a creamy, fresh texture you can taste from the very first bite.
