Unique Treasures is a collectibles shop at 833 E. Las Olas Blvd. They have been in business for almost 40 years. Unique Treasures began in Beverly Hills, in the lobby of The Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard. A second retail shop opened on Rodeo Drive. Other shops were opened in New York City until the owner of Unique Treasures retired to Florida and opened this shop two years ago in the site formerly occupied by Chico's, a woman's clothing store.
Walking in here is like stepping into the coolest art museum except everything is or sale. They have 250 bronze sculptures for home, offices, and gardens. There is a selection of over 115 chandeliers. Don't forget to browse the over 115 art works. The Asian Art Collection has one of a kind carvings in precious stones. There is also hand cut crystal bowls and vases, not to mention the luxury home furnishings, home decor, and gifts. Every spot is crammed with treasure upon treasure. You hardly know where to look first.
There is a funny section of the Unique Treasure website that is under Nobody Needs What We Sell. "We'd be the first to admit that nobody actually needs what we sell. But you want it. You want it because it appeals to you, or it will fit in that special spot, or your kids will get a thrill from it, or you just plain want it. In the nearly 40 years we have been in business we admit we usually have to talk our customers into making a purchase. But, once customers have made their purchase, it becomes an important part of their lives. Most of the items we sell are purchased on impulse. It's that kind of business. Over the years, and in all our Galleries, regardless of the location, we learned that if clients don't buy something on the spot, chances are they will not buy it at all."
This is definitely a place for a person with a disposable income. If you are that person you will find a truly thrilling selection of one of a kind items like a giant Mickey Mouse holding idiot spray, a melting tootsie pop sculpture, an intricately carved jade boat, a knight, giraffes taking a bath in a tub, and a red raging King Kong. This store is eye candy. When I finally move into the Huizenga mansion, I will definitely be shopping here to get a few things to spruce...
Read moreThis store has some really nice and interesting stuff....just don't go shopping while black. My wife and I was vacationing downtown Florida and we stumbled upon this store. It has really nice pieces and my wife was really fascinated by it all. But no one came and ask if we needed help...or just being courteous to customers. As we walked around the store my wife stopped at this section that had some really nice and small stuff. As we stood there trying to figure out what we would like to buy...at the end of the aisle I notice this older man (which I believe was the owner since there was a picture of him and Shaq displayed), standing there watching us. Instead of coming and saying how are you and if he could help us...he just stood there watching. At this point I really just wanted to get out of there, but my wife end up buying a few stuff before we left. And even then, his reception of us was cold, non emotional and unpleasant. I didnt mention anything to my wife until we left the store that we were being racially profiled. of course she wish i had told her before she bought some thing but i choose not to because she really liked what she got. As for the future, never will i or any one of my colleagues that i know will ever...
Read moreThis place has so much beautiful art. I dont usually write reviews, and only gave a 3 start because of the bad customer service. We stopped at this shop today because we were very intrigued about the little climber figures and wanted to buy a few. The man that i reached out for help was very king and took his time to talk about those, we got 4, they had a special if you buy 4 you get one free, so got 4. The woman at the register was not friendly at all, she was on the phone for a long time while customers were coming in , she did a horrible job packing our delicate figures and did not use enough paper to protec them, barely covered the figure with a piece of paper, like she did not care at all, she gave us the impression she should be working somewhere else. I talked to the gentleman working there and let him know that woman is rude and does not know how to treat the customers. A place like this should make an effort to hire exceptional people with good customer service skills, I am sure a lot of people walk away without purchasing anything even if they were really planning on buying, but when you get this kind of customer service is really...
