Las Olas Med Spa — Local services in Fort Lauderdale

I have thought deeply about writing this review since my appt over a week ago as I do not like posting negative reviews.

I have been receiving regular Botox treatments for the past 15 years and decided to try Las Olas Med Spa for the first time. I have always done regular, 3-4x a year touch ups in a number of areas in my face, typically 30-40 units (max).

During my appointment and before the treatment, my injector (who was very nice) advised I would need more for just my forehead even though admitting I didn’t have a lot of movement already. I advised I only typically do 30-35 for my whole face and she was firm that I needed more however I reassured her that I only wanted 30-35 for my entire treatment. We did several areas (forehead, crows feet, brows and a small amount on my chin). When it came time to check out, I saw that I was given 96 units. I have never received over 40 in one sitting and would have never agreed to 96 as my face is typically frozen at 40 and I also was not anticipating a spend of 96 units. The gal at the front desk apologized when I raised my concerns and helped source additional incentives through programs I was a part of which was helpful, however I am concerned with the lack of transparency around the treatment as a whole. I have always been told the cost and the number of units prior to a treatment and was not told until after the services were conducted. My forehead still has quite a bit of movement after 8 days and my injector declined to do the areas around my lower mouth (downturn smile) because she couldn’t see the muscle although I have a lot of movement after my last treatment 4 months ago. Overall, I feel pretty disappointed about my experience here. Maybe I was a unique situation, I’m not sure but would recommend as a common practice letting patients know the number of units being provided. I’m still unsure if there were 96 units because I have more movement than I typically do with less than half the units...

I am 40 years old and JUST decided to get Botox for the first time! I wanted to look fresh for Christmas this year so after doing some researching, I decided on Las Olas Med Spa. I was excited for them to POP my Botox cherry!

Las Olas Med Spa's facility is extremely clean, the staff runs on time (which is very unusual for South Florida!) and their entire staff - from the front desk to the girls who do the injections and everyone in between - are ALL extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

I went into my Botox appointment with Laura feeling a bit nervous, but she immediately put me at ease with her friendly and welcoming demeanor. She took the time to explain the entire process and answer all of my questions, which helped calm my nerves.

During the procedure, Laura was incredibly gentle and patient. I was a bit of a spaz about the pain, but she reassured me and worked slowly and carefully. To my surprise, it didn't hurt at all! I was so impressed with her technique and how quickly the procedure was over.

I can't thank Laura enough for her expertise and professionalism. I highly recommend her to anyone considering Botox!

Side note - I'm JUST leaving Las Olas Med Spa so I will update my review in about 2 weeks, once the Botox has had a chance to fully settle and I am better able to see the full results! I am looking forward to looking refreshed and...
