I have a Psychiatric Service Animal, I have had him for 6 years. As I entered the establishment for lunch first a lady came and ask to see his paperwork, once I showed it to her she asked to see my ID to see if the paperwork for the service animal was infact for me. Once I explained to her that according to the ADA and Florida Law a establishment is not allowed to ask for that information she got agressive and told me the law had changed. She then proceeded to tell me the dog wasn’t allowed to move from next to me. She the proceeded to call the owner who told me that I had to leave and when I directly asked him if he was kicking out a person with a service animal and a disability he stated yes. I told him that was discrimination against a person with a disability and he then asked what was my disability. I informed the owner that that was also a question he was not allowed to ask, and he said If I didn’t answer He was gonna kick me out so I answered and he let me be. As we where getting served the dog was silent and sitting down next to me. The manager kept throwing nasty looks. Once we payed for the bill the manager came again with the rules and told me my dog was not a service animal and that he was moving around a lot. Something that was false and the table next to us corroborated, she got aggressive and condescending with me, and unkindly suggested I read the rules, because my dog was obviously not a service animal. I explained to her that he was he was behaving accordingly and tried to show her the ADA and Florida Laws to show her that her and the owners actions were illegal and then she stated “this is a private establishments and the owner had the right to saw no” which is false according to florida law a restaurant is a public establishment. After we left a member of my party stayed behind and this lady made nasty comments about the dog to her. This is discrimination and ilegal behavior. I have reported this business to the BBB

October 23, 2021: Another 10 star meal with outstanding service from Mario. Mille grazie! The Lobster Fra Diavolo and Baccalà Livornese were both superbly prepared. Every bite was simply mouth watering, and, of course, you must start with the calamari Europa. High season is beginning again for visitors to our beautiful destination, so prepare to wait a bit when dining after 7:00. It is well worth the wait. Outstanding, authentic Italian cuisine served by a terrific international staff in a comfortable, sophisticated setting. There is parking along Las Olas Boulevard and on 8th and 9th. I recommend you download the “PayByPhone” app as it makes it super easy to pay and you’ll receive a text reminder in case your explorations take you close to your time limit! Buon Appetito! My favorite restaurant in South Florida is Caffe Europa, on Las Olas Boulevard, and it is our place for ALL special occasions! Last night, we began our meal with the best Calamari Europa. These are NOT fried calamari, but true Italian style, tender, and deliciously flavored calamari that taste like they jumped from the sea onto the plate! The salmon Europa was perfectly prepared with a delectable, light sauce, and served with an outstanding polenta and seasonal vegetables. The rigatoni with gamberi (shrimp) is one of my favorites that I can never resist! Service is ALWAYS outstanding, ambiance is lively, yet sophisticated, and desserts and caffe to die for! Caffè Europa is a favorite of locals and a “must do” for our visitors to Fort Lauderdale. And, for the Italian community and those traveling to our city during the holidays, Christmas Eve dinner at Caffe Europa is traditional and out of this world—try the Baccalà! Grazie mille per una cena perfetta!

On a chilly evening in South Florida, I found myself strolling down Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, craving a meal that was both simple and refined. That’s when the enticing aroma of Caffe Europa caught my attention, drawing me in with its warmth and charm. From the moment I stepped inside, I was met with excellent service and a lively atmosphere. We also met the owner, Lisa, which was very welcoming. We began with an appetizer of prosciutto and burrata—fresh, creamy, and beautifully complemented by a drizzle of balsamic glaze. It was the perfect way to start the evening. For my main course, I chose exactly what I had been craving—something effortlessly elegant. The capellini pomodoro was exceptional, with tomatoes so soft and sweet that every bite was a delight. To finish on a high note, I indulged in the homemade ricotta cheesecake. It was impossibly smooth, melting in my mouth with a delicate richness that was simply perfect. Caffe Europa delivered a dining experience that struck the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication, making for an unforgettable evening.

The worse experience I ever had. I been in this resturant many time but the service is beyond horrible. the bartender think that is some kind of gangster! I want to write my experience and let everyone know what time of service they have!! And how they treat costumers. My friend got in town for the first time so I suggested to go to cafe europa. I went to the front and ask the girl if she had a table for 2 . She told me that was 45 minutes waiting . So I asked her if we could sit at the bar and eat there . She said that if it was some sit open we could go. And so my friend and I saw 3 sit available . We ask if anyone was sitting there. And they said no.. So we took the 2 and left one open. From no where The bartender started to getting the worse attitude and telling Us that we need to go back to the door and wait for out time ! I explain to him that the girl send Us at the bar! He turn to a completely jerk, like he was same type of gangster! And started to get very nasty! Then when I said I’m not moving because the girl send me here! he said that the guy with the suit need to give US the approval! So I went and ask the guy in the suite. And he too said that was ok for US to be sitting there.. At this point the bartender throw the dish towel in the air and started to get nasty and said all kind the stuff!! He stared to argue to the guy in the suit! So the guy in the suite apologized to us and went to some people that were waiting for a table !! A TABLE !!!! No a bar!! (Those people were 4 btw!! ) It was no room for then there.. but yet the bartender was happy to have them standing there bar.. waiting for a table at the bar!!! When we wanted to eat!!

It was disturbing, disgusting and very ghetto all the situation! I apologize to my friend for all the nastiness ! We left because if the bartender doesn’t want our business we twke to someone that actually want it!! We went to a different restaurant we got treat extremity well! the food was delicious and the service was AMAZING!!! Cafe Europe service SUCKS ! The bartender is a very low class we “0” manners… The owner need to correct those type of behavior!! Because we as customers , only we do is bring business!! Maybe the restaurant does so well that doesn’t care about costumers . And this is why allowed those type of low life worker like him. My friend and I were told to sit there! We did not pass on front of anyone!! The bartender was just a nasty unhappy scumbag .. the guy in the suite and the girl at the door were super nice and professional.. The owner should fire him!! Today was me ! tomorrow can be you !!!! Or someone that will not be nice about it.. And send...

If I could give " -1" star I would. We were on our visit to Florida, and after having a dinner at another place, we wanted to find a perfect spot for a drink and a dessert. Caffe Europe came up in our search with pictures and reviews to boot. So, we walked into the restaurant, asked for a table for two and if possible outside. I mean, we live in the Midwest, having a drink and dessert outside, under the perfect sky in the mid December was really a treat for us. Anyway, we were sited. I looked over a menu and saw that there isn't a dessert menu, so when our waiter stopped by our table, we asked for a dessert menu. We were told, that sitting outside were only reserved for a full dinner, and if we want dessert only we should go inside to the bar... I was a bit taken aback and tried to reason with him, to which he went back in and came out with the same "this table is for dinner only customers" Are serious? He basically was refusing to serve us. We just got up and left but I am still fuming from such humiliation, such ignorance and shear luck of common sense. You are calling yourself Caffe Europa...but you have a mindset of "bumble f". First if you know that there is preset designated areas for dinner vs dessert service, we should have been asked what type of service we required. Second, have the owners ever been to Europe and/or Italy for that matter. I seriously doubt it. No matter where you are in Italy South to North. Having dinner, dessert or just a glass of wine outside is what their restaurant scene is all about. Why would I want to be inside when the night was so gorgeous? But even so, having flexibility, common sense and customer service culture should be a must. All we wanted was a drink, a dessert and spend a few hours together. You already sited us, and we were paying customers, just like everyone else there. So refusing to serve our table and showing us inside in-front of your other patrons, was humiliating and disgusting. After that, I don't give a hoot how good your food is, how many stars your other patrons gave you...The after taste of your treatment toward us is that of a raw sewer and not of a reputable establishment. Will be visiting your area again, but we will never set a foot into your restaurant. There are plenty of other places on that street and your loss...
