Dollar Tree — Attraction in Fort Lee

I was just at this dollar store and extremely shocked by how this store employee made a mother came with a young boy who obviously has a developmental disability. The mother was so embarrassed and saw her leaving in the middle of shopping with tears in her eyes. A boy was running a little. The running was not really bothering anyone and it was running here and there and seemed little excited. Whenever he ran, the mother stopped him and told him not to run. But, the kid was a little too excited and there was few chases after the boy. And all of a sudden, a public announcement from the speaker asking parents not to allow their children running in the store. This store is small and it was obvious that the announcement was targeting this poor mother and her son. The mother was trying her best to keep her son by her and seemed really embarrassed and upset. Just watching this, I could not believe how the store employee or manager can decide to publicly embarrass a customer, especially a poor mother with a disabled child, seemed autistic or ADHD. The running was not even so bad and I felt terrible to see what is going on. Watching this, made me feel terrible and extremely bothered. I might have gotten a little personal at the moment because I have a close friend who has a child, diagnosed with autism. After all, I decided that I will not shop here anymore from today on. Went to the store on many occasions. I was there this past Friday 3/10/22. The two youn men at the register were rude to the customers. The one male was wearing a dirty green shirt and kept yelling at an elderly lady who was frustrated at the slowness of the cashier. He just kept baiting her stating “huffing and puffing”. “You’re just huffing and puffing”. He reiterated this about 10 times during his interaction with the customer. She stated that he was treating her terribly and he said she was rude and needed to know it. The other cashier was wearing sunglasses and a black hoodie . He just kept reprimanding a customer while they were checking out. Later a customer dropped something that needed clean up. Another customer did not notice the spill and got yelled out for going in his line. The store is a mess disorganized and dirty. It is sad that this store is not better organized. Would...

This store is practical to the area as a good discount store especially for cleaning supplies which other places charge up to 3 times the price for the same thing! Most times it’s organized & well stocked, I find some of the cashiers to be a bit grumpy at times. Overall, I appreciate having a discount place near by, it helps me to stay within my budget. Someone here, leaving a review, complained that a store employee embarrassed a mother with an overactive, disabled child. No need to stand for that, get the date & time that you witnessed this & call their headquarters & tell them what you saw.
