I am the big fan of korean fried chicken, and tried so many other places for korean fried chickens . But I would dare to say the 101 chicken is the best fried chicken ever. I always thought Korean Fried chicken all tasted very similar but this place absolutely stands out.
personally, this place has the most crispy and the best flavor of secret souce. ( I ordered 3 souces on the side - 101 Sauce/Hot & Spicy/Truffle Mayo). I had an outstanding experience with their 101 Potato crisp, and Original hot pepper. They were Crispy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. The Original hot pepper fried chicken wing was spectacular.
Also we ordered Original chicken with boneless for children. The original had a great crunch on the outside and was perfectly cooked on the inside. The small size portion was great for children and price was reasonable.
I love ddukbokki always, and I found the best place of ddukbbokki here at 101 chicken. I ordered 101 ddukbokki, rose ddukbokki. because my sister and I would love to try 2 of different flavors. the rice cake was most chewy than other places. ddukbokki was perfectly great flavor with mild spicy level and souce was really delicious. Rose ddukbokki is recomemded for children and the person who would like better not spicy flavor. the taste was equally on the level of the fried chicken.
I also recommend Jambon Chicken Sandwich, the taste surpassed my expectations, the chicken inside sandwich was crispy and tender, the combination of chicken with souce was amazing. A must try ! Also the cheese balls were sooooo yummy. It was so soft and Cream cheese flavor was so great I haven't treid before.
Overall, everything tasted really good and the portions were generous for the price. Incredibly crispy and glazed, They were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for those craving top-notch korean fried chicken. We saw that the robot arm was working on fried chdickens and moving itself step by step. It was incridible experience watching the cooking robot with chicken. I heard that the chef won the best award in the Korean TV show which was the competition of cooking chickens in various ways in korea. I believe that the chef made the best fried chicken in US as well.
The service was exceptional! The host, Jeanie was super friendly and welcoming and tried to attend to our needs and satisfaction.
My first time was a carryout order and 2 days later we were in the restaurant to have lunch today. The place was very clean and open concept kitchen to show the inside. Must come and dine in the restaurant. Totally, satisfying food and pleasant atmosphere.
We will most definitely...

What I didn’t like to see at all and is a MASSIVE sanitary concern and issue is the packer. He was not wearing any gloves whatsoever and was handling food by popping open the air holes in the take out box bare handed and fingers going inside the take out container. In nyc this is a health violation.
I would appreciate extra caution if either the packer wore gloves and changing frequently to abide by sanitation laws OR have my take out container completely handled by the kitchen and then passing off the sealed product to the packer. Regardless this needs to be corrected.
Granted they just opened. I’ll give them grace and some time to correct this but next time I witness a health code violation I’ll change my rating, review, avoid and let everyone I know, about my concerns.
Update The restaurant corrected their sanitary issues. Bravo. However something’s changed about the quality of their chicken and it’s extremely noticeable. Ordered 2x this week and both times the chicken was tough and chewy (usually indicating a super poor low quality chicken like black label) with lots of cartilage still attached which is why I believe it’s black label low grade chicken quality. When they first opened despite sanitary issues the chicken was tender, juicy and easy to eat. Chickens not juicy or tender. Whatever you changed, you need to correct and make right. Go back to the original recipe. People notice these things. And if the only thing you sell IS chicken it’s only a matter of time before people stop choosing this place. It’s already overpriced you can afford the better...
Read moreAfter moving away from Fort Lee, I haven't really tried too many new places and instead stuck to my usuals (MDNH, BCD Tofu, Busan, SRG, etc.). But I heard good things about this new fried chicken place located right behind where we used to live. It's located on the south side of Washington Bridge Plaza on the same line as Kung Fu Tea and the sushi place, where the Chinese takeout place used to be. There isn't much space for eating in, but they did manage to squeeze in seating for up to 8 people max. Plan accordingly.
We ordered our food at the counter (there's also an automated kiosk), and sat down to wait. After a few minutes our order was ready. The chicken came out hot and crispy, and the cheese balls were excellent. As far as the dipping sauces go you've had similar spicy sauces elsewhere, so I was drawn more to the 101 sauce and the Truffle Mayo sauce. My son ordered the 101 Potato Crisp sandwich, but I ended up being too full to try a bite of it this time.
The service was great, and I look forward to coming again, the next time I'm around this way and find myself in the mood for some good...
