My name is James, I come from California, My wife is a published author and artist, We have eaten in many Chinese restaurants in the world. Unfortunately my wife has taken ill and has to live temporarily in a nursing home in For Meyers, She loves Chinese food. Ichiban will not take a credit card unless the card holder is present,so we purchased gift cards from visa and american express to make purchases especially for her dining. 9 out of ten times, this restaurant will deliver the wrong food. My wife Grace is a regular customer orders the same food all the time. Tell me why , no how can they mess it up all the time? Some times it takes a gift card time to activate and when we c all the Chinese man taking the order is rude hasty and don't know what they are doing...The delivery driver is a fat gay boy who comes and talks to my wife as if he is her friend telling her about his boyfriend,..and then talks behind her back, this is professional service? We spend an average of $100 a week on Chinese food, but it is too difficult to run a gift card and get the correct order done properly this restraint is a horrible place. I went in to it finally as we always orde take out, the man who takes the orders lied and said he no longer delivers because the driver quit. then we found out this was a lie, fat boy didn't want to come out to my wife's nursing home room. When I walked in to do a pick up, i realized how filthy dirty this place is,..DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT THEY WILL GET YOUR ORDER WRONG DISRESPECT YOU AND PROBABLY GET YOU ILL FROM FILTH. THEY NEED THE BOARD OF HEALTH...
Read moreThis is the third time I’ve visited Ichiban, and it never fails to impress. The restaurant is small and cozy, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for a casual night out. There’s also outdoor seating available, which is great for those who enjoy dining al fresco, especially with the pleasant Florida weather.
As always, the service was exceptional. The staff here is attentive, friendly, and always on top of everything, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their welcoming nature really adds to the overall experience.
We came for sushi again, and, as expected, it did not disappoint. This time, we tried the Lava Drop, Volcanic Eruption, and Sugar Daddy rolls, and each one was absolutely fantastic. The Lava Drop had just the right amount of heat, the Volcanic Eruption was packed with bold, smoky flavors, and the Sugar Daddy was a perfect blend of sweet and savory. The sushi at Ichiban is consistently fresh and beautifully presented, making it easily the best I’ve had in Fort Myers.
Ichiban continues to be my go-to spot for sushi, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience. I can’t wait for...
Read moreI’m from NY & thought Chinese food was Chinese food. Moved around the country the past few years for work & have traveled extensively around as well for work. I discovered for the most part Chinese food sucks outside of the NYC area, you may luck out here & there. If you’re from NY you will not be disappointed with Ichiban in downtown Ft Myers it’s as good or better than your favorite place back home.
I go here weekly with my mother, we start with the egg drop soup, which is AMAZING! I haven’t been disappointed by anything on the menu yet! I met my mother for lunch today at about 1:30pm, I hadn’t eaten anything before. I was looking forward to some egg foo young. The waitress said it wasn’t on the lunch menu but they’d be more than happy to make it for me! I wish I took a pic, it was a huge plate of 3 egg foo young patties. They were about as thick as a burger, maybe thicker! This may have been the best egg foo young I’ve ever eaten in...
