Great staff, nice and clean rooms, attentive staff. That said, with Cov restrictions, food choices were limited. Dave's served an excellent Ribeiro. The cheesecake in a cup at the pool was very tasty, but the calamari was a bit chewy but it was hot and served poolside. The Deli had amazing pastries and milkshakes but ran out quickly. If you eat late, you may want to change your habits, after 9 pm there are very few choices around the resort and Disney Springs closes at 10pm. I am sure once COV restrictions ease up, the area will go back to normal. The resort hosted 2 MLS teams and a rugby tournament - a treat for my son, who is a diehard soccer fan. People are very nice but be warned that traffic on I4 can come to a stand still with even a minor accident. The pool and lazy river were relaxing and they have a small wave pool. Premium outlets were about a 15 min drive and we saw a movie at Disney Springs (old downtown disney). We saw a 430pm showing and although we were worried about parking, we found plenty of parking on L2. For the outlet go to the back garage where the kids playground is located. Traffic can be hectic during spring break so go to Disney Springs early. After 6 pm parking can be a challenge. Cov restrictions were partially lifted so Disney Springs closes at 10pm and...
Read moreThis is an upscaled ZIP code area. High taxes and the other half of residents {that are actually tourists staying at vacation villas that are more upscale: and in the middle of all the attractions.} This was developed as a place for all families of different economic scales to be able to afford to eat, shop, and refuel your vehicle. As expected, the grounds are very well kept up ..it's clean ,and well maintained and well policed. Very safe. Rush hour is two and a half times a day ...where traffic comes to a crawl... expect to add 45 minutes to an hour to your trip during these rush hours... which isn't bad as I'm from California,it takes 2 hours to drive 9 miles in traffic. As I mentioned there's a clean ,well attended, eating venue for every price point, I recommend that you eat during the rush hour, as you finish..you get ready to depart on the downswing side of rush hour..I took a 10 minute walk around the area ..it's very walkable, with little parks and seating areas. Very well done. keep up the great upkeep and...
Read moreThe car wash was amazing. There were so many lines of cars that were waiting to get washed. They do both inside if you request and outside of your car. While waiting outside sitting on the curb in the parking area I met a very nice young man who was working there. He seemed to enjoy his job and was full of energy as he wiped the drips from one of the cars. The cars that I saw that were finished looked great. It reminded me of a drive in restaurant where you sat in your car and the car hops roller skated to your car to take your order and return it without a spill on your tray. Everyone moving quickly to get you in and out as fast as possible and a clean car. While clean cars are important.....caring staff are an...
