Paid $60 for balcony seats that are literally just office waiting room chairs by the ramp, very uncomfortable. You can’t see half the stage either! Show started 10 minutes late because they had to list everyone to thank and then when the recording started, it listed the same people to thank. Show was okay, sound balance was off and some actors were louder than others. Was rudely told I was being distracting looking at my program during the show by a woman, when several audience members kept getting up and down during the show being loud and another couple was obviously making out as well. There was a lady behind my husband who was distracting him by waving her hands and singing along, but I imagine she never got yelled at. I was accused of taking pictures when I just wanted to see when the intermission was. You’re telling me that those things weren’t...
Read moreMy review and rating is against similar venues not a New York City theater. We saw Beauty and the Beast. 1st time here. Located in The Factory means there is a warm (or cool in the summer) and dry area to wait if you're early. The service desk in front was staffed over 45 minutes before showtime by a few very friendly and helpful folks. The theater seating is adequate, banquet chairs on a tiered floor. The highlight was, of course, the show. It was fantastic! Wonderful singing and dancing. Much better than I expected from a local theater company. I will definitely be coming back to see other productions. A definite gem!
UPDATE: Just say Mamma Mia and my review stands. This place is a gem!...
Read moreWe were the second show ever in the brand new Turner Theater at the factory at Franklin to see the Studio Tenn presentation of Million Dollar Quartet. It was magnificent. The theater is impeccable. The show was unbelievable. The cast, I didn't know such talent existed. It was a wonderful evening filled with delightful people in a brand new theater that is sure to be one of the reasons people return over and over again to enjoy the Performing Arts in Franklin.
