Thankfully this historic 1785 building was saved from destruction years ago instead of adding five more parking spaces! Docent Charlotte Burrill did a wonderful job of explaining the history of this building and the people who helped save it. Eighteenth century homeowner James Brown was a silversmith and lived here with his family. This building now serves as a gallery for various artists. It’s wonderful that this historic building was saved and put to a great use as a gallery!

Art gallery in a historic 1785 building, considered to be oldest art gallery in the city. Rotating art collection from artist near and far. This month(August 2022) Mr. Carlos Drake Moore will debut his art exhibition. Mr. Moore gave me the opportunity to preview his collection before the general public and I was impressed with the diversity of his artistic talents.
