The Card Cellar — Local services in Fredericksburg

I’ve been collecting for over 40 years and The Card Cellar (Owner Bart) and his staff have kept it as fun and professional as the hobby should be.

Some of my father and I’s best pulls came from The Card Cellar……….

On one occasion I was over in the Middle East and after around my 5th month of being there I became depressed and called home and asked my father to go see Bart and ask him what he could recommend because I knew my dad would be comfortable buying from him…….one pack of cards is all that was sent.…..but what a pack it was a BABE RUTH GAME USED BAT CARD…..back then there wasn’t many mem. cards like there is today and that hit was an AMAZING ONE in more ways than one.

Years later when The Card Cellar was at another location I bought a couple of packs of Sp Authentic baseball and pulled a dual auto of my 2 favorite baseball players of all time. Griffey/Ichiro. What are the chances?

Thats the enjoyment of collecting. That excitement would never of happened if not for The Card Cellar because theres nothing like it around in my opinion.

My girlfriend mentioned the other day that the place is great because anyone not just the sports card collectors can find something they like in the store. They do a great job keeping things fun for everyone.

The card seller in Fredericksburg is by far the best card, hobby shop, memorabilia and even unique clothing items and unique gifts for loved ones. Bart, the owner is the genuine article. You can ask him any question he’s so friendly. His staff is always super friendly and when you go in there, you feel like your family, I can spend hours in there looking through cards asking Bart and staff what’s new what’s coming out and his prices Hobby boxes packs of cards even his $5.03 dollar and one dollar bins for baseball football and all sports are very very reasonable. it’s a great way to spend a couple hours, your son and daughter or just going by yourself and feeling like a kid again Bart has been around over 30 years and speaking to him and is totally understandable. Why he’s been able to be in business in such a vile industry. It’s about Customer Service friendliness and feel like family when I walk in, the top loaders and he helps you out with help you understand if your new collector I absolutely love this place whenever I’m in Fredericksburg I can help be drawn to stop in and see what’s new and what’s going on. Don’t trust this place when trying to sell or trade cards. My son had a card stolen by one of the employees when he took some Pokémon cards in to trade/sell. The cops were called right away when my son noticed one card with roughly an $80 value missing after one employee had looked though his binder. He talked to the owner and he totally dismissed it. Cops were called but unfortunately due to only one camera and poor Quality they weren’t able to see 100% he took the card. You could see where the card was by color and that color was different after they took it. But since you couldn’t make out the card the cops didn’t have enough to do anything. If the employee is brave enough to do it once they are more than likely to have done it before and to again. Just sad for a local business that has been around a long time to allow this to happen. For the owner hopefully the employee isn’t doing it to you. But then again after how you handled this situation who knows you may encourage this kind of behavior.
