Freehold Marketplace is the name for a strip mall that contains a Sam's Club, Walmart, Longhorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and a bank.
The Sam's Club is large and decent enough, although they do have problems keeping some items in stock. If this is a concern the Edison location seems to avoid that problem completely. They also shut down their photo center, so again if you need that Edison has you covered.
Walmart is pretty typical. There's always long lines, day or night. It's bizarre since the store has 20 or so check-outs with no more than five ever in operation. In the evening, one or two is the norm. They have recently added 6 self-service checkouts which are open during the day, and that has improved the situation a lot.
I've been in Olive Garden, and it is consistent with other Olive Garden locations. I haven't been in the other places.
The common parking lot is huge, and a favorite spot for homeless people with vehicles to squat. They have discounted item racks in several sections to help find the marked down items. Cashiers are for the most part very friendly. The nail salon and restaurant are good spots too. If you are looking for certain ethnic items , you won't find much. For instance I can't find any makeup for my complexion and there is a pretty sizeable population of people who are not white in the freehold area. Not much options on my hair products either. The lines are Always long and I mean Always. The return line is typically one cashier and also Always long. The Olive Garden here is clean and quick seating with...

They're both relatively new, very clean and efficient.
There are only two stores at this location, one is a Sam's Club which requires a membership but Managers have been known to offer a day pass to potential new members. It's probably not club policy (or maybe it is), but it seems to be a Manngers perogative. If you'd like to try it out, just ask.... It...
