Terrible customer service ! I wish I could give less than one star for both quantity of furniture and service. My parents , who are senior citizens, purchased a sectional from the Freehold , NJ store. Within a few weeks the fabrics started to fray , discolor and the cushions sagged . When my mom tried to speak with the sales Person she told her âI donât know what to tell you , I just sell the stuff.â She called customer service since they purchased the warranty and a tech came out to inspect. It was reported that indeed the fabric discolored , sagged and frayed but that this is deemed ânormal wear and tearâ. After only a few weeks ? They do not have small kids , or young grandkids or pets. How is this normal ? And if it is, then that doesnât bode well for the overall quality of their furniture. Finally the manager agreed to âallowâ an exchange for a 20% restock fee plus a return and delivery fee. All of this would total over $700. My 82 year old mother gave up because she couldnât deal with it anymore. My dad is a veteran and disabled at this point so he isnât able to help.
I called and the manager finally called me Back today to tell me the following : he was the same manager that agreed to an exchange for the above mentioned fess and he does have to even speak to me As I am not a customer this is âstandard â wear and tear I donât really have a platform to complain about them as they are not a corporation, they are a family owned business and Iâm free to do what I want to do he does not have to provide me his managers name and wonât (said like a bratty school aged child that got in trouble in class) I am amazed at how rude this man was to me and how he treated my mother. He seems ok with selling shoddy furniture and with not caring about his customers .
So bottom line ⊠Raymour and Flanagan sells poor quality products , does not stand behind their warranty and once they receive payment do not care about...
Read moreI used R&F for years but the team in the Freehold store has changed that for the years to come. Recently, we bought new living room furniture which would take 4-6 weeks to deliver as they didn't have it stock but they 100% guaranteed delivery for a party that we were having at our new house. We wouldn't have placed the order if it didnt meet the party deadline. We got a call 4 weeks later saying they stopped shipping that furniture. We went back and bought something out of stock. They delivered part of the order that week as the truck drivers brought the wrong chair. I called customer service and they told me over the phone not to reject the order and they would get me the right one as the person who entered the order screwed up vs the truck drivers. I reluctantly agreed and then found out a few days later that they would need another 6+ weeks since that item wasn't in stock. When I questioned this, the immediate reply was that I can't cancel anything now since I accepted the order so I had to wait. I didn't bring up cancelling the order but it appeared to me at that point, that they probably knew all along that this would happen and did their level best to make sure I accepted the order vs losing the sale.
Unfortunately, the entire management team gave me conflicting stories about what was happening so they were obviously telling me things they thought I would want to hear versus the truth. I was a 10 year customer who spent well over 20K in their store.
The final conversation was that they would be sending me a significant gift card as they knew how bad they screwed up. It has been over 6 months and I haven't seen anything yet in the mail. That card must be showing up any day now. Guessing I will be told mail must be due to the holiday season if I called inquiring why they screwed up everything, never followed through on anything they said during or...
Read moreMy daughter & myself went into Raymour Flanigan (Freehold), we both have been talking about furniture we wanted. We went in only to get ideas on certain items. I instantly saw a sofa & loveseat, then not far from them, I fell in love with a dining room table & chair set. I knew I wasn't leaving without purchasing them. Nedal a Sales Associate was absolutely fantastic with us. He answered our questions & we decided to look at mattresses. Nedal listened to exactly what my daughter was looking for in a mattress & what she looking for. She found it with his help. Nedal also helped me with choosing a mattress & then I saw a headboard, Nedal explained the set & he showed me a few others. I went to the 2nd headboard i was looking at, Nedal gave me ideas & he left the options up to me. No pressure on making a sale from him which made me feel comfortable working with him. He made Our shopping experience one of the best I ever encountered in purchasing furniture. The place has beautiful merchandise & all the employees were friendly with plenty of smiles. The store is clean and has an elegant look to it & you can see why, the employees fit into the atmosphere. Nedal recommended a place that would haul my old stuff away. He lead me in the right direction with that too. I also got the delivery date I wanted. I highly recommend this store. Fantastic experience and Nedal is the best. Bought beautiful furniture from here, I'm very pleased. UP DATE: Received my furniture delivery today, it was on time. Raymour's delivery men were absolutely great. The were quick, very friendly, they put my kitchen table together as well as my queen size bed, no problems at all. They showed me how the leaf worked in the table and cleaned up. Diffently white glove service & Diffently hard working, I didn't feel uncomfortable in my own home. They were a pleasure. Great experience all...
