Incompetent help. Asked how much admission was for the tour and the employee didn’t tell me, he just referred me to the sign posted above the counter where the price is so supposed to be listed. The sign is high above the counter and I have bad eyesight so I couldn’t tell what the cost is. I stood there for two minutes straining my eyes trying to decipher how much I needed to pay while this employee stood right in front of me and he didn’t lift one finger to assist me or answer my original question.

This museum has all kinds of interesting books about French Lick, West Baden, Indiana, the circus and many other historical items. I was going to give this establishment a ton of business but now because this nitwit who works there wouldn’t take the simple gesture of answering my question about the admission price of the tour, now I WILL NEVER give one cent of my business to this museum, NOR WILL I TAKE...

If you're visiting the area for the first time, this little gem of a museum is a definite must. We were staying at the West Baden Springs Resort and I was interested in learning more of the area history. I Googled "West Baden history" and this museum popped up. Inexpensive and staffed by a friendly crew, we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the famous waters, glamorous heyday, baseball ties and, especially, the circus that came to town during their off season. There is a wonderful, detailed diorama of circus life from "front of the house" to how the circus travelled, lived, and worked. Tap on the photos to get a rough idea of the intricate detail of just a small portion of the diorama. Even if this isn't your first time, worth a...

Did not realize how much history is in this town, until I went here. West Baden and French Lick have a rich history and if you want to discover it go to the museum. You find out how the towns were settled and got there names. You learn of all the hotels and casinos that were in the area at the hay day of the towns. They also have the largest diorama of one of the circus's that wintered in town. The people are very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend you visit if you...

Wonderful little museum for the town of French Lick West Baden. This houses the best circus Miniatures I have ever seen. You could literally spend hours looking at the Miniatures exhibit (if you like miniatures). The detail is outstanding. Worth the price of admission (and there is a coupon if you stop by the visitors center in town, and get the visitors center booklet/map/coupon). Also had a small gift shop with really unique items. Definitely worth a visit.

This is neat museum that goes through most of the important history of the area. It has exhibits on founding fathers, the springs and associated resorts, artisans, gambling, sports, the railroad, and circus. It's very interesting and fun to browse through. At the end there are extensive diaramas of the circus including how they traveled via train, parade through the town, and the actual circus setup. Very engaging and instructive exhibit.
