Indiana Railway Museum — Attraction in French Lick

Not a museum The so called museum was just a glorified gift shop. Tried to buy tickets to ride the train on 3 different occasions thru out the day but they were closed each time. The staff were there but all the doors were locked! I finaly got there at the same time that the place was open and upon asking the ticket counter for tickets "sorry, were sold out" For real? I was like the 3rd or 4th customer thru the door and all the tickets were sold out. No posted store hours No info shared with the...

This is not a museum. Mostly a small collection of rustic rail equipment. The people inside the depot were only interested in selling me tickets for the theme train. The hotel doorman was much more helpful with information on the history of the train cars.

Update: We did the theme train. Not a huge fan, but the kids liked it. Tickets were pricey and the train cars needed some maintenance.

Some members of our family had never been on a train and here in Southern Indiana there are no trains nearby so this trip was a great experience for them. There were some lovely sights and the train robbery was fun (corny, but cute) It's a great way to spend a day with your family.
