I'm not sure how this place has a 3.6 star rating.. It should have minus 2.. If you look at the reviews on Yelp they are pretty accurate.. This place needs Jon Taffer and Bar Rescue..
The one thing that people kept saying was that the service was slow and not friendly. Another thing that seems common is cold food..
That pretty much sums it up..
We decided to try it just for the atmosphere knowing what we were walking into and hoping to give them the benefit of the doubt, for the single reason that Larry Bird was associated with it. This place lives up to all of the bad reviews..
We were there on a day that was not busy and it still took over an hour to get our food. You would think that it would be excellent quality when we finally received it, however not one person could finish their meal. The food was close to the most disgusting slop we have ever had.. So disappointed.. everything was cold on top of that.. The only thing that was half way decent was the french fries, even though they were not hot..
Sure every place has a bad day, however our experience is similar to most of the Yelp reviews.. So, I don't think we just had a bad experience.. I think this is just how this place is regularly.. We would never go back for any reason..
It should also be mentioned that the server came and went sporadically.. She never brought most of the things that we asked for when we placed our order and after. We asked for a few things several times and she never brought them. She lost at least 3 beer sales from each person at our table because after we got our food she never came back.. not to mention we only saw her a few times in the first place.. She never even checked to see how our food was.. it's not because she was busy either because we saw her hanging out with their co-workers goofing around..
I would think that Larry Bird is a silent partner and if he knew how awfully this place was run, he wouldn't have it..

Read moreThis may be my first review I’ve written that’s this negative, as I understand that challenges that the restaurant industry deals with (staffing, inflation, etc.) However, I feel that my experience warrants a proper warning to others. My wife and children visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. There was a wait, which was understandable for the weekend. After 20 minutes or so we were seated, at this point we thought that the worst of our waiting was behind us, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. By this point the lunch rush had died down, and the restaurant was at half capacity (at most.) Our waitress took our drink order and we waited another 20 minutes for our drinks. When the drinks arrived, we placed our food order along with an appetizer. Luckily we ordered an appetizer, as we wouldn’t receive our entree’s for over an hour. After noticing numerous tables be seated, ordering, and receiving their food after we had placed our order over 30 minutes prior, we politely asked if there was an estimate for our food (as the kids were beyond restless at this point.) The waitress was extremely rude that we were (nicely) inquiring about our order, which we had every right to do considering a family at a table beside us had finished their meals after ordering nearly 30 minutes after us. We assumed that the waitress had forgotten to enter our order, which we would’ve understood as everyone makes mistakes. The fact that she treated us as if we were being rude by inquiring about our food in that situation is the reason for this review. The burgers/kids meals that we finally received were lukewarm and some had obviously been sitting under a warmer for awhile, so I’m not sure what caused the extended delay other than spite from the waitress at that point. Nevertheless, we did not complain or ask for a discount, and still tipped her 20%, which is less than what I normally tip. Everyone has bad days, but after that experience we will not return to this...
Read moreWell ... where do I begin? First and foremost I would like to say that our server Melissa was fabulous and very accommodating. Other than that it was a bad experience. Got there about 7:30pm with my date .. they close at 9:00pm. We both sat down and ordered or meals. She having a Black and Blue Burger with chips .. myself having a Mushroom and Swiss Burger with fries .. both cooked to medium ..pretty simple order. We got our order somewhere around 8:00pm .. not terrible. One of the mushrooms fell off my burger when i cut it in half so I picked it up and ate it .. it was ice cold... took the top bun off ... cheese was cold ... mushrooms cold .. burger warm. Dates sandwich was ok. The waitress (Melissa) apologized and sent the 2 halves of my Burger and fries back for a do over. About 10 minutes later .. about 8:15 pm here came my replacement burger back out. Looked good .. told my date .. that the real test will be when I lift my top bun off ... if I have a totally new burger or a reheated in the microwave cut in half beef patty with a new bun .. it was my old burger that had been microwaved and now cooked to the consistency of shoe leather. Once again our server (Melissa) marched back to the kitchen with burger in hand .. by now it is close to 8:20pm .. my date has by now finished her meal and is just an observer of this crazy attempt to get this elusive Mushroom and Swiss burger... so finally about 25min later at 8:45pm Melissa returns with my 3rd burger. She apologized over and over .. which I told her it was not her fault. No apology from the manager .. or the cook. Ate my burger and left at 9:05pm .. 1.5 hours to get my meal ..
