Bliss Spa - French Lick — Local services in French Lick

I've been here twice both on gift certificates. I didn't want to review until after both trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The first time I went was for a massage. My therapist was great! My time however was short ten minutes. That isn't counting dressing and undressing. The second time was for a microderm facial. Again great job to the lady who did it. I paid $125 -$10 for it being my second time there. The website says $85. Again I was there early as instructed and taken upstairs. I was retrieved at exactly 230 my appointment time. I was dressed and checking out at 326 this doesn't come close to 75 minutes. Barely 45 minutes were spent on my face. I don't mind to pay an inflated price for more time ect. I didn't receive that. When questioning about why the lady at the front desk couldn't give me a real answer only frustrated with me for asking. Also same lady who answers the phone..quite rudely I might add. I spoke with her through a series of 5 different calls on all different days. Rude and snappy EVERY time!!! Also literally lectured me about cancelation policy more than once each time. If this is so important to you that I put a credit card on file then why didn't I receive my full time..either time? Also really terrible to ask me and several other patrons what gratuity I'd like to leave in front of others in the tiny lobby. I wasn't allowed to enter my own tip amount the first time so the second time I gave the lady who did my facial cash tip. The lady at the front desk had me announce this 3 times in the lobby..no I gave the girl a tip!!! It would also be nice to know names. My 1 star is for the severe lack of customer service and horrible professionalism.  I schedule a message over a month in advanced using their online appointment option.  It was scheduled for 10:00am.  The week of the appointment, I checked my time but noticed a 3:30pm time had opened up.  So I took that appointment time instead.  That was on a Tuesday and they were closed.  On Wednesday, I called to cancel the 10am appt and confirm the 3:30 app.  The lady I talked to said everything looked good and confirmed my 3:30pm appt for Saturday.  Come Saturday, I show up for my 3:30 appt.  The receptionist told me that they did not have me scheduled at all!  Another lady came out and said that they don't have any appts and that I should have received an e-mail confirmation about my appointments.  I never received any e-mails for either time for my appointment.  No where on the website did it say I should expect an e-mail, so I didn't look out for one.  The lady made it feel like it was my fault for the error.  She did say sorry but her disposition was like "ugh, just leave."  And then she just walked away.  Why have an online scheduled option if it is not going to work?  Not sure how there services are but I will not be back by the way they handle...

I was given 2 gift certificates for the spa, given as baby shower gifts. I used one when my baby was 2 months old for a much needed massage, which I probably would've rated 3/5. I was wanting to book an appointment for my second gift card (which was for $85) when I realized that my second gift card had an expiration date written on the sleeve and it had just expired less than a week prior, so I called to see if they would be kind enough to honor it and was told NO. I've bought and received many gift cards and have never had to think about when I must use them, as most gift cards do not have an expiration, since it was money handed over. I explained to the lady on the phone, that I had a baby and there had been many circumstances which had prevented me from being able to use the gift card until this time, but she seemed neither kind nor understanding and most definitely not accommodating. We will not patron this business in the future and will most definitely not purchase gift cards that expire. Luckily, there were no issues with any of the other gift cards/certificates that were gifted to me and I have to give mention to Patoka Lake Winery for being very accommodating, considering my circumstances..we love visiting & supporting our...
