Have you heard of this realistic, life sized city made entirely for kids? Welcome to KidZania in Frisco, Texas—where kids run the city! Part children’s museum, part role-play city, this place is SO.MUCH.FUN for kids of all ages. They can earn money by learning different jobs around the city, and spend their money on prizes or experiences. Things to know: 🚒 This is the only location in the U.S. đŸ©ș Most jobs are made for kids 4+, although there is a toddler area, as well as specific sessions made for 2-3 year olds đŸ‘źâ€â™‚ïž Hours vary by season; check their website prior to your visit đŸ—ïž All sessions are kid only- adults wait outside while kids get to do their thing (don’t worry, you can see them the whole time) đŸŠ· Security bracelets are worn by all kids and parents, making this a safe space for your kids to learn and explore 🍕 No outside food or drinks allowed, but you can bake your own real pizza, decorate cupcakes at the bakery, or purchase food and drink options in the town square 🎭 We spent 5 hours here, and still ran out of time. If you want to get the full experience, I highly recommend the whole day! Would your kids love KidZania?? @KidZania USA

We had a great time at Kidzania. I learned a lot of things while I was there so I’ll share.

If you sign up for emails, you will get a 5% coupon. I waited a couple of days and received a 20% off coupon via email. If you’re visiting for your child’s birthday, mention that at check-in & at the bank for extra Kidzos.

Upon entering, there are lines to check in at the “airport”. We bought first class tickets and arrived at 11am. There was no established first class line at this time, so we didn’t receive “priority” boarding, but the line wasn’t long.

To start off, I recommend getting a passport first, if you’re going to do that. Details can be found in the photos. Next, visit the fire station to beat the crowd. Other things to visit before crowds are the Flight Simulator on the upper level, & the “rock climbing” near the fire station. The lines for these can be long, and the activities are 20+ minutes each. -For rock climbing, open toed shoes are not allowed. Crocs are also not really good for this activity.

There are Kidzania Guide Kiosks with QR codes to scan around the town. These QR codes have info on upcoming activities and their times. This helps plan when you need to be in line for your activities.

Each activity has a screen outside of the location with activity description, cost or earnings, capacity, schedule, etc. Some of them don’t work or have incorrect info (mostly capacity errors).

The “jobs” earn Kidzos (paper Kidzania $). These Kidzos can be used to purchase activities such as the rock climbing, etc. There is a bank where Kidzos can be turned in and they can get a debit card.

Kidzos can also be used to purchase items from the department store. I found these items to be priced too high, in my opinion. We were at Kidzania for 8 hours. We did a good balance of activities and jobs. Each child starts with 50 Kidzos. At the end of the day, my middle daughter only had 90 Kidzos, which isn’t even enough to buy 1 bouncy ball. That was a bit of a disappointment. The selection of products was mediocre. The displays behind the glass of the boutique show lots of fun items, but the actual products in the store are lacking. See photos.

The Kidzania website says the toddler area is currently closed. It’s actually open. There is no seating for adults to rest while their young children play. That was disappointing also. I definitely could’ve used a place to sit down while my toddler was distracted, after having kept her occupied around the town all day, while the bigger kids did activities. It was a fun space and she did enjoy it.

I do wish there were more benches near activities. We did a lot of standing around. There is 1 very large area with small tables/chairs in the middle, 1 medium sized area with tables/chairs near the pizza place, and 1 small area with tables/chairs near the taco place. There is also a parent lounge and larger table/chairs area on the upper level.

The building construction climbing course is closed due to “safety reasons”, but that is not indicated on the website. There are other smaller activities that are closed but not indicated online as well.

We had pizza while we were there. No complaints with that, it was fresh and tasty. Water cups are free at all dining locations. We paid $35 for 3 personal pizzas.

I will say - the music level is acceptable. But the happy birthday song for parties is WAY too loud and extremely overstimulating. I noticed quite a few kids and adults covering their ears during the birthday song and firetruck sirens.

The restrooms were surprisingly clean all throughout the day. There are separate restrooms and family restrooms. I did not see a private space for nursing parents, or a comfortable spot to nurse if needed. Just backless benches & dining chairs. A nursing room/quiet room equipped with changing tables & armchairs for parents with infants would be an amazing addition to the facility.

Even after staying from 11a-7p, we still did not finish all activities. We did get a majority of them done though. We had a great time. Well worth the...

It's like an Enterprise City (iykyk) where you take fake money, do jobs to earn more and then spend the money in this big fake town. I'm all for something different for kids to do, learn and provide a different experience but I don't see how this business model is sustainable.

ARRIVAL: The the line was not long but it took forever to get processed. There's a huge jet that adorns the front and as you enter, there's security where your items need to go through an x-ray machine and they take a metal detector to your body. I thought it was just part of the experience so I asked if I could skip all of that and they said no, it was real. That seemed extreme for an indoor kids' park.

The city is great looking, well done, and impressive. And if it was operating at full capacity, I'm sure it would be awesome. But that's the problem: the amount of manpower (and subsequently, wages) it requires to run the city for the kids to experience it all. And the experience is already $50 per kid. I can't imagine them increasing the prices to cover that and still be accessible to all incomes.

We came on Labor Day and more than half of the city was closed down meaning that experience was not available. It was a ghost town. And the ones that were open, were skeleton crew which caused long waiting times (45 - 60 minutes).

I let my older two go off on their own and stayed with my 4 year old. We were waiting in line for the Fire Station experience and had been waiting for awhile. They have these chairs that they arrange in a line for those that are waiting. An older guy came by and it was apparent he was just looking for something to do. He started fiddling with the line ropes to ensure they were straight and secure. Then he said only kids could sit in the chairs, so all the parents got up and stood on the other side of the ropes. He walked away. He later came back and then ordered all the kids off the chairs so he could make the chairs into straighter lines.

My son wanted to stand with me so he wasn't sitting in his seat and this guy kept telling him that he needed to go sit down. Even though it was clear that my son was a bit scared and he already had a badge to be the next group to go in, the guy kept insisting that he needed to sit in his seat. I tried coaxing my son onto his chair and the guy went away.

After some time the guy came back and again, ordered all the children off their chais so he could group the chairs by colors; the white chairs first and then the black chairs after. It was inefficient and wholly unnecessary. He then told me that my son needed to sit on his chair 5 feet away. For someone who works at a kid-centric place, I thought a little empathy for a scared younger child would be afforded. We'd been waiting there long enough that I don't think anyone would think we were cutting the line if he joined the group (for which he already had a badge) when the time came. And why was he rearranging chairs? Go open up one of the other experiences.

The icing on the cake was the Prize Store. It had maybe 5 items that you could trade in your money for. Please see video of all the empty bins. They had plenty of the really expensive prizes left but I don't see how you could have earned enough money if there weren't enough experiences open. As I've stated, it's $50. They give you $50 Zidzos so it's basically dollar to dollar. Because there was nothing left, my kids opted to trade in their Kidzos for old and wet lifesavers that were $25 each.

CONCLUSION: I wish them success and I hope they can figure it out but spending $50/child for a partial experience felt like a rip off. It could be great if it was all operating.

My 4 year old LOVED the firehouse experience so I highly recommend that one if you go. They do exercises, then get outfitted in gear, board a mini firetruck and yell chants, and rescue some stuffed kitties.

TIP: Do your research before you go and plan. It's like Disney in that way. You can see when each experience will start and plan accordingly to...

DO NOT COME HERE. ITS A JOKE AND A WASTE OF MONEY. My child and I have been waiting years to come here. She has asked me so many times but it’s so expensive. It’s one of the most expensive children’s attraction s in Dallas. So I finally decided to take her and she was so excited . For me and my 7 year old it was 96$ That doesn’t include anything at all besides a “bakery class”, which is a joke it’s the same thing as every other work place. Obviously it’s spring break so I knew it would be crowded, however they say they have a specific amount of tickets they sell per day to avoid over crowding. I WILL TELL YOU RIGHT NOW THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY WHATSOEVER AND THEY WILL OVERCROWD THAT PLACE SO BADLY YOU WILL WAIT AN HOUR TO DO ANY OF THE ATTRACTIONS. The workers could care less about their jobs. And I would think if you are choosing to work at a children’s attraction where you are working and teaching kids That they would choose workers based off performance reviews. The workers act as if you and your child are a bother. Your kids will not learn anything Besides being rushed from room to room and maybe a sentence or two spoken about the profession. I swear I had more training when I worked at Olive Garden as a teenager. THESE workers do not know anything about the profession they are “teaching” kids.

The money system is also a joke. They promote their money system, as if it is a real world system to where the kids are working for money and also spending it. Which yes they do work to make money But the “spending” Of the money once they’ve earned, it is also a joke. You cannot buy anything at all. Even at the cute 711 you will see them advertise all over the place
.that takes real money. The concession stands take real money, not the fake money. The only thing you can buy with the kids money Is go into the store that has 15 products you can choose from to spend your “earned money” oh and also a few jobs make you pay your fake money to work a job?!? Like what? For reference, we were there for four hours and my child made $60 working five different jobs. However, she worked at the chocolate factory, which, for some reason she had to pay for with her money. So here is the list of things in the shop
Tootsie roll (the smallest one) 30$ Smartie 30$ Some random kinder bar no one likes 50$ Stuffed unicorn $100 And anything else That is bigger than that is 200+ dollars.. there’s even a game that’s 2000$ 😂😂😂 which you will never be able to make that much money in that place. In all that store had 20 products to buy. Most being the smallest candy which where only smarties and tootsie rolls and dumdum suckers. And believe me, I understand they can’t be giving out big stuff but when you pay $100 for you and your one child to get in, I would at least expect her to be able to buy more things with the money she made.

My sister and I were so upset with this place. She’s a content creator so we were also excited to post about this place! But now the video we thought we would be posting about the fun we had is the complete opposite. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR CHILD TO SIX FLAGS FOR LESS MONEY! And also, I swear I have seen this company comment back to bad reviews, and they are so condescending and rude to the people Leaving reviews. Literally, the person who is commenting back on Google Needs to be fired, The way they respond to each bad review is such a joke and I want to post it all over the Internet . This place is a money grab and it’s all it is. I am so glad we finally went so I never have to sit foot in that place again. They overcrowd so badly that you were waiting around forever to do some 10 minute BS job that the instructor could care less about doing. Please do not bring your children here and waste your money. It’s not even worth...
