I had a good experience when it came to making the appointment and the check-in staff, however the experience that I had with the employee at the counter was horrible and incredibly stressful. I provided him with a certified copy of my out-of-state marriage certificate and was not only asked why my last name on my application was different from my original (15+ year old) passport, but also that the document would likely not be accepted because there was not a blank for me to sign using my married last name on the state-certified copy of my marriage certificate. He also hassled me about providing information that I did not know or have regarding my estranged father for my application. Thankfully I had brought literally every possible identifying document with me, including my old driver's license, but it was as though he were looking for a reason to not process my application. He then went on to inform me that I was not going to receive my passport back in time for the trip that I had indicated on my documentation. I explained that 4 previously when I booked the appointment, this was the earliest one. It was incredibly stressful, and the counter employee was so unnecessarily hostile.

(In the end, I did end up receiving my passport 3 weeks to the day from my appointment, and 5 weeks...

It’s time for our kid’s passport renewal, searched first on USPS traditional route but couldn’t find a slot in the horizon meaningfully. Then got this idea to broaden the search and lucky to have found Frisco Public Library where the appointment slots are available almost everyday including the weekends.

It’s located in a beautiful location (Hyatt Regency) with a pampered drive in and out.

Been to Stonebriar mall many times but never seen this hidden place 🙂. Very neat, helpful & professional staff. It was hard to find a time slot during Spring and I initially thought the website was controlled by limiting the no:of appointments. But upon visiting I realized this place is super busy but the staff are handling the appointments very well and no chaos. Very professional, helpful & polite, unlike USPS passport appointments). Also loved the tidy & quiet section of library here at this facility. Will certainly be back here for kids future...
