An Luis Massage — Attraction in Fullerton

In the end, it always comes down to the masseuse. Last week I came to An Luis and it was one of, if not the best massage I'd ever had. It was Smaller, older lady and she was so in tune with my body that when I left, I walked out feeling like Jesus walking on water. Had I left a review then, it would have been the best review I'd ever left. I went again today (a week later) and it was one of the worse massages I'd ever received. It was a taller,younger lady. I was this close to getting up in the middle of it and stopping it altogether. I asked for medium pressure but I think she understood medieval because it was so painful and aggressive. When your client is arching his back and saying "ow" every few seconds, it's NOT A GOOD MASSAGE. I couldn't relax for more than 10 seconds. She'd go from nice pressure, to grinding anger in a moment. I swear at one point she was poking my ribs while I winced away from each poke wondering if I was being PUNK'D. I actually left the place WITH a headache.

It's my fault. I should have gotten the name of the first masseuse and asked for her exclusively.

It's disappointing though. I thought I had found a great place nearby....I guess the search continues. I'm afraid to run into that second lady again and not recognize her because of the face mask.........

Sooo I really needed work today and my go-to is usually Lisa but unfortunately, she isn’t there anymore due to surgery 🥺🥺 btw I don’t think she gets enough credit for her work because I don’t ever see her name on the reviews. Maybe she’s that lady people always forget the name, but anywayss she is by far the best masseuse I’ve ever had. Too bad she’s not there anymore!!

I wasn’t going to go but decided to still give it a try. I found Lucy from the reviews and yes I do agree she’s good. However, I think she does a better job on reflexology and scalp massages. I felt bad she had to use a stool just to massage my back. She really worked hard trying to massage every bit of my back muscles but at times I felt like she was getting really tired. (I did the 90 minutes which I shouldn’t have, I felt so bad! but I hope tipping 31 dollars was enough. although, I feel like these staff need to get paid more. So people, Please tip them well! Ever since I found this place a couple years ago, its been my spot! First, it's affordable compared to other places, but because it's so affordable they do ask for a tip $15 minimum. Thats how these massage places work. Even with that extra $15 is still not as high as other places. Which if you're coming to these you know why you don't go to the others places. 3x the price & sometimes the same or less quality. Second, I come in very frequently & have had great massages & poor ones too. There are so many masseuse that not everyone is the same. I had to rotate and I learned to ask the name of the person who I loved. Now, before I go in, I call & ask if those specific masseuse are working. Which I only book with them now.
