Be careful ⚠️⚠️⚠️ 🅿️ 💰
Saengerfest Park is a charming little spot in the heart of Galveston, perfect for snapping some photos, enjoying local art, or just taking a short break while exploring the Strand District.
However, be very careful about where you park. I stepped away from my car for just 10 minutes to take a few pictures in the area and when I got back, there was a $75 parking violation ticket on my windshield. There were no visible signs saying I couldn’t park there, and many others had also left their vehicles nearby. It wasn’t even a safety hazard.

Nice light show too. Went early to get a good seat. Was disappointed to find that Stuttgarden Tavern was charging $10 a seat to sit out on their patios that overlook the park (They've never done this before and I understand the need to make cash...but c'mon). Still found a nice place to watch the show and had a great time at...

We we visiting Galveston I wanted to leave on Friday because the Hotel prices were going up for the weekend. My partner asked why and we were told about the Dickens Festival, so we stayed over the weekend and what fun. The park was all lit up with holiday decorations and there was a huge Christmas tree all lit up with colorful light. I saw a wall painting behind a stage that say Welcome to Galveston. It's really easy to stand in front of it and have ones pictures taken. Lots of places close by to get...
