AMAZING place with AMAZING workers! Every time I go into the visitor center I leave with a story or something new I have learned from talking to the workers. You can tell everyone who works here loves their job and loves their island. They are the most friendly and helpful people I have ever met at a visitor center. They have a fully stocked room of multiple brochures, magazines, menus...everything you need to learn about Galveston and the area around it. If you are checking out Galveston, you must check out this center. Have a small chat with one of the wonderful workers, you will leave with a smile and great things to do...

Read moreWhen you read about the Ferrys to carry you to Galveston it claims they run enough Ferrys to keep up with the demand. This is false. 5/5/23 they were running 2 Ferrys and had traffic backed up to 5-6 hour waits. Same thing today on 5/6/23. The "medical pass" they had out to locals is joke. You watch work trailers, vans sports cars ect. Just speed along to get on in front of everyone waiting. I wonder how many missed getting own their cruise ship yesterday. Poorly...
