On the surface this is a nice place, but once you are in the room for a little bit you start to see the flaws. The first thing was the rugs, they were not flat on the ground and had a lot of bumps which is a trip hazard. The bathroom door had multiple hairs on the back and that was noticed right after we got there so we knew it wasn't ours. The sheets had masking tape on them and there was a burweed/sticker weed in the bed between the fitted and loose sheets. The bathroom and room doors do not close completely either. The towels are very small and good size for children but not adults. There were things they provided that were really nice such as free washer/dryer, fridge, fan for the room (because it does get hot and your limited to what you can turn it down to), and smart tv. The last thing I have to mention is the communication. If you need to speak with them before your reservation it might be difficult getting in contact with them. We got an email a week before our reservation that the card wouldn't work and we think it was because the card was locked. My husband emailed back immediately to let them know the card was unlocked but when he didn't get an email back by Monday afternoon he called the number on the email and texted the number that was on the voicemail. I also tried to call and sent a Facebook message which I still haven't gotten a response from. On Wednesday they finally they emailed back and said they would try the card again and im assuming it didnt work because my husband got an email from another one of their businesses that had a link to update the card information. Overall this is an okay place to stay when you just need somewhere to sleep. In response to the owners comment, the free items mentioned were not consumed by us so those may be great for other people but didn't matter to us especially since i have an allergy to gluten. Regarding the burweed in the sheet, we went from the car to the room and sat on top of the bed until we decided to go to sleep. If it would have been on me I'm sure I would have felt it before getting under the sheets. I personally called on Monday November 6th at 6:30pm and November 7th at 11:22pm and 1:10pm and there was no response on any of those calls. My husband texted at 11:11am on November 6th and NEVER received a response. My Facebook message was not responded to until Monday November 13th which is 6 days after it was sent. My husband called other times and sent emails that took multiple days to respond. I don't know who you responded to by text message but it wasn't us. I have screenshots if you would like them. You're right, your prices are similar to motel 6 and I see why that is. You get what you pay for and now we know that next time we come to Galveston we should stay elsewhere in order to get a better experience.

We stayed in Room 3 for one night during our weekend getaway to Galveston. Pink is definitely not my type of color hahaha but I thought the room was really nice and well appointed. The mattress felt like laying on a cloud. The room was clean and felt safe. I thought noise was going to be an issue after we heard someone walking through the hallway, but it was actually quiet through the night. I did find all the emails and texts to be a bit confusing. The information to get in was in multiple places but I understand why they have to do things a certain way since staff is not onsite and they don't want to send out the codes before you are supposed to check in. Overall this was not a huge issue. The one problem we ran into was the parking. The owners do a really good job communicating that each room is afforded one parking space that corresponds to your room number. The spots are numbered right to left. It seems super easy to figure out, but when we came back to the hotel at about 9pm there was someone parked in our spot. I called and spoke to Brian and he said it would take some time to review the cameras to figure who parked in our spot, and he advised it could even be someone who wasn't a guest in the hotel. Per his recommendation we ended up parking along the building which wasn't an issue. Although the parking instructions are Barney the purple dinosaur simple, I think they should put up some signs with the room numbers for each spot instead of just having the numbers painted on the pavement. I didn't see one, and I might be wrong, but maybe put a tow away sign at the entrance to the parking lot warning anyone who isn't a registered guest to park elsewhere. Overall it was a good stay in a prime location for cheaper than even some dumpy motels in other areas.

No frills, economical one-night stay! We are here pre-cruise. This isn't a hotel in the traditional sense. It's more like a guest house. There's no staff on site but you are provided a way to contact the owner in case of an emergency. We stayed in room 1. You get a code for the exterior door sent to you the morning of your arrival and then later in the day you are sent to code for the lockbox for your room. The lockbox contains the key for your door. Room 1 is cute and spacious enough for two people. There's a double bed, a sofa, TV, small refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom is nice and the shower is big. The walls are exposed brick and the floor is concrete. There is an area rug covering part of the floor. There's one table beside the bed with a nice sized lamp. There is a large ceiling light fixture and the room is bright enough. Very clean! Across from room 1 is the laundry room where you can store your bags if you arrive before check in. There's also a Keurig in there and pods. Overall perfect for my sister and me (both in our 50s) as we don't need more than the basics. There are a lot of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

UPDATE We received a nasty unprofessional email from the property manager today. We would be happy to post it if needed. We would like to say, first, we were very sick and our days and times were all messed up. So correction I contacted the property manager on Tuesday after I went the doctor and was diagnosed with Flu A. My husband was diagnosed with Covid on Sunday. At that point I knew we would not be able to come for our stay. We are humans and can not predict the future. Therefore I did not know 7 days prior to our stay that we would be as sick as we were. So again I apologize that we did not notify you all by your 7 day policy. The reason for this review is solely because of the way the property manager has handled the matter and that no consideration of even a partial refund was given. We feel they need to revisit their policies and whom they have managing the property. She sent a text back late Tuesday and suggested I send a picture. No specifications. I sent a picture of my husbands 3 at home Covid test. Mind you I was in bed with fever trying to quarantine from my husband and two kids. If you all would have asked for more information I would have gladly provided it. After all I have the prescriptions and medical records. At the time I sent the original pict of at home Covid test it was an easy solution because I had it on me at the time. So word of advice, always read their policies, sick, cancelations etc… their policy needs revisions. The way we were treated I would not recommend this place to anyone. Again I would be happy to provide the nasty email/ communication from the manager, or any documents needed to prove our illnesses if needed.

We were suppose to go for this weekend to celebrate my best friend’s Birthday. Each person in the group reserved a room so all rooms were in our party. My husband tested positive for Covid and myself tested positive for Flu A. I wrote a txt per instructions 6 days before (as soon as our positive test came back) asking to cancel the room since we were sick. The property manager asked me to send a pic of test. I sent her my husband’s 3 positive Covid test thinking that was suffice. I just received a message that they are not refunding any money. It would have been the decent professional thing to do. I am extremely disappointed in their policy!! I will not recommend this property to anyone. They could have at least...
