We were super excited to go get photos done here, we came in they told us to pick our theme and they would be right with us. The girl brought us back and picked out our costumes for us, with no real enthusiasm or excitement. Not asking for our opinions. Once we were finally dressed they set us up to get photos taken on the Western theme. All of this happened without a single conversation about cost, pricing or anything. The photos were fun, and we had a good time. When it came time to sit down and look at photos there was a bit of confusion while one of the girls was being trained. And a lot of side chatter about other things not related to us the customer. Editing the photos in front of us took a bit of time, we had been at the place to 2 hours at this point. A lot of our photos were great, and we really loved them but something got mixed up and we got two 5x7 prints that were almost identical. None of us had picked the photo and because it was already printed they were going to charge us for it. Being in the service industry I found it ridiculous how they could not do the right thing to make the customer happy and sacrifice the one sheet of photo paper to print something different that we loved instead and would have paid for, leaving is much happier and raving about the product instead of being upset. What was more frustrating was her going through all of the photos to tell us that we had picked the wrong one instead of providing a good service. Glad I finally was able to do this, but upset with the...
Read moreWe visited here October of 2015 and were lucky enough to work with Austin. He was very funny and kind, and took the time to interact with my little girl instead of ignoring her or talking over her the way many others would.
We chose a Victorian set, and were very pleased with our costumes and the setting. Austin was very thorough with our poses, taking more shots and using more poses than we had expected, so we had some difficult choices to make when it came time to purchase our photos. In the end, we chose two shots and had them hand-colored and framed. We spent more than we had anticipated, but only because we were so impressed.
The only complaint I have is that another employee, I believe his name was Buddy, walked right into the middle of our set and rearranged some things, including the hat I was wearing. I was so shocked that I didn't say anything, although I wish I would have. Austin was doing a wonderful job and did not need help. I'm sure Buddy meant well, but now I have two pictures on my wall and my hat is cocked a different way in each shot. I think the picture that Austin arranged looks much better.
Due to the attention to detail and the number of shots taken, checkout can take awhile. We were surprised to find we'd been at the studio for a couple of hours, but it was worth it. We will definitely get more pictures here next time we're in Galveston - I have my eye on the pirate setting - but I will absolutely speak up if someone interferes...
Read moreWe absolutely enjoyed the photo shoots. The whole photoshoot experience was very fun and the photographer was hyping us up the whole time! The only thing we didn’t like was that the pricing seemed a little misleading. They didn’t give us a full breakdown until after the pictures were taken. We asked about the prices at the beginning and she only told us how much the photoshoots themselves were. About $10-20 per person. At the end she tells us that each copy we would like to print would be $20 for an 8x10 or we could get 2 smaller photos for $30. We’re not allowed to take pictures of the printed photos, get them copied, or scan them after we leave, and if we want to opt for the digital photos, we’d have to pay $650 for a flashdrive with the pictures on them. If we want a splash of color on them, that’s an additional $6 dollars per pose. She also showed us the photos with the frames in them first leading us to believe that’s how them would come and then states if we want the frames that’s $30 additional for each print bc they were handmade by the Amish. I just wish they were more upfront at the beginning. In total we...
