If i could leave this organization a ZERO star review I would. They drive through NEIGHBORHOODS picking up any animal that is out, which includes cats, collar or no collar. My neighbors little girl had a cat (she had an air tag collar!!!!) that went missing, when they searched for the air tag location it was in DALLAS! The little girl was DEVASTATED, because that was her pet. Well the organization never took the air tag off, someone adopted the cat and noticed it had an air tag, took it to AT&T to see who the air tag was registered too and called my neighbor. So luckily they got their pet back because the family that adopted the pet was nice enough to look into it. But if your dog gets out of the backyard fence, this organization will just take it. If you have an outdoor cat, this organization will just take it. They are putting up people’s family pets for adoption! When my neighbor called the organization to see what was up, a lady named Bettye said she thought the STRAY CATS collar was an AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENER!!! WHAT STRAY HAS AN AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENER?!? They put peoples home pets up for adoption, not strays. This organization is so messed up. So be careful when adopting from here, the animal you are adopting could be someone else’s baby and they could be out there searching. It’s crazy to me how many pets have gone missing from my neighborhood, probably due to the fact that this organization patrols neighborhoods to pick up any animal they see. If you are looking for strays to “rescue”, try the city… or a highway. Don’t park in a neighborhood and hunt for animals. Those are NOT strays that need to be rescued!! I am in utter shock. What a horrible, selfish...
Read moreWent there after contacting someone about my interest In Adopting, I was told to go to adopting location ( rockwall ) meet the Dog. Turns out dog was not there,. Top things off we arrived there at 11am as we where told. When we walked up to the door we where told we could not come in until 11:30 am we went back to our car to wait , meanwhile we see other people being permitted to go in. So we went back up to the door and asked them why other people where going in? Seemed they didn’t have a choice but to let us in. A lady there follows me through out the location telling me this might not be my best option she broke down all there rules and conditions they had to adopt a dog as if she wanted to down courageous us from adopting a dog From them. A second lady approached us as we walked repeating them same things first one did. I walked out of there! Horrible way of promoting animal adoption . Far from all this I felt total and absolute discrimination from both ladies. Way to go OakHill . These are the experiences that discourages people from helping...
Read moreI have adopted 2 sweet puppy faces and now a kitty face from OHAR. These folks do everything by the books. The animals are vetted to make sure people do not lie on their applications, they make sure the animals are up to date on vaccines, microchipped and sterilized. All this for a miniscule fee. It is better than pet store and you are giving a dog or cat a second lease on life. If you ever are able to donate to this rescue, please do! They have an Amazon wishlist, they take donations in house or you can just drop off any thing you wish to share. Meet our...
