Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for Kids - Geneva, IL — Attraction in Geneva Township

Honestly, I am very disappointed. My 6 y.o. daughter had her first cut here today. I explained Chris what I wanted, we decided on the cut, which was supposed to be visible layers and face framing, but it was very frustrating, because she almost forgot to do the framing, I had to tell her again at the end of the cut, and she did very poor job with the layers of hair. She said, "You can do something more dramatic when she's in high school, she doesn't need it now"... I didn't feel like arguing and ruining my daughter's first cut, but it made me upset. Also, she wasn't gentle with the comb, my daughter was crying "ouch!" all the time, to which Chris said, "Yes, it is painful to be beautiful". What?! Receptionists are friendly, place is clean and well decorated, but cut quality is poor, I don't know if she didn't want to spend much time on my daughter, or just can't do cuts right, but the other lady was doing fantastic job with other kids, and they were all happy, and looked great. Also, she didn't even brush off hair of my daughter, I had to do it with my hands, while other kids got cute fuzzy brush and care. I was polite, I payed, left the tip and we left. Our stylist was phenomenal — she made my little one feel so comfortable and even turned a nervous second haircut into a fun memory we’ll treasure forever. The way they engage with children is pure magic — calm, kind, and full of energy at just the right times.

I especially appreciated how organized and professional the whole experience was. Everything from check-in to checkout was smooth.

I had scheduled my first appointment with them for my daughter to have a haircut and fairy hair. They lost our appointment, and gave me the sense that they didn't believe that I had made an appointment. After showing what number I called and the time I called, they had us wait with not a word said to us for ten minutes. They then dismissed us to sit in the waiting area for 25 minutes with the least heartfelt apology I've ever heard. I finally had to go ask what was taking so long and eventually they said they were ready for us. The haircut was fine, but she hardly put any fairy hair in. Didn't seem worth the cost at all. Also I saw other kids get braids put in, as we always do where we usually go, but we got nothing. Not even a good hair part. I had to go home and fix my daughters hair which is ridiculous!
