I dropped off an iPad Pro first generation 12.9" that was in perfect working order with some aestetic damage - a cracked screen from a drop a few years ago, fairly minor but still bothersome enough to replace.
I gave the repair company a LCD Digitizer Screen Replacement W/Daughter Board that I got off reputable Ebay vendor (a company) and they just were going to charge me for the labor.
After dropping it off, they said it should be ready within a few hours. After arriving for pickup, they showed me that after putting on the new digitizer, everything worked except the touch screen was now completely unresponsive.
They then proposed that I send the replacement back and purchase the new screen through them, which was more expensive, but I agreed.
After installing three different screens, the issue still persisted with the unresponsive touch screen, so they sent it to a third-party company, who stated that there was damage on the "traces" that must have occurred after the fall. Ultimately, they said the iPad was damaged beyond repair, and argued they are not liable.
After speaking with multiple electronics repair professionals online with 100s of experiences in ipad screen replacements, I discovered the only way traces are damaged are from water damage (never an issue) or technician error. Additionally, they mentioned they had never seen a drop do trace damage.
During this whole process, I received almost no communication, different answers from different staff members, and no call from management after I was supposed to recieve a call. The iPad was irrevocably damaged in the care of IFIX, and I wasn't offered a replacement,...

Not sure if your camera can pick up sound but his finger is one thing and his mouth is another. I know what I heard and it was rude. I do appreciate how thoroughly you looked into the situation by looking at the camera but I will in fact take my business elsewhere. Hello again. I wonât need to review the camera because I was actually there. Like I said, what you see and hear are two different things. Itâs childish to go back and forth. Iâm a customer who is speaking on her experience just as everyone else while you continue to be rude to me in your response. I understand you may disagree but as professionals we can speak to each other respectfully. I am more than happy to take my business elsewhere after all Iâm one person and me alone wonât affect your business. Very professional to continue to be rude even to a previous customer who has been satisfied with the service I received in the past. Returning two times to get it installed only to be turned away due to a backlog of work and less-than-convenient hours is not ideal (frustration #2) is also understandable. The 2-hour wait for the installation was acceptable (and surprisingly accurate!) but does not match your website's 30-minute promise (but I can live with that). However, the new screen falling off the phone 5 days later is not acceptable, nor is the denial of a refund for the screen or labor or both. And the store associate repeating "But the screen is cracked" was not helpful...the screen cracked when it came apart from the phone when scrolling and fell out of the hand holding it. Five days after installation, the screen came off. Period. And the person/store responsible for the installation of the new screen is not taking any responsibility for the bad installation, and refused any refund (full or partial). So again, this store does not stand behind its parts or its labor, and it's a shame.
