The Germantown/Farmington Rd store is very modern. However the customer service is very bad. I called Comcast to report serious pixelating on my TV. Cust. Serv. told me my X1 DVR box is bad and needs to be replaced for a newer one. I went to this store with the DVR. The customer serv person after asking what I needed proceeded to deactivate my DVR in their system. She then went for a replacement which she determined the store did not have any. I asked to reactivate the deactivated DVR and she said she could not. The system does not allow that. So I am now without any cable TV. She said I could go to the Highland/Poplar store to see if they have any. I told her she needs to determine a way to get me a DVR, NOW!, since it is not my responsibility to comb Memphis to find a new X1DVR. She rolled her eyes at me like I created this issue and it is mine to fix. We did a work around by supplying me with a non-DVR box for now until the store replenishes their stock which may be the next day. She gave me her card so I may call to check on the DVR stock status. Guess what? The phone rings forever then switches to a voice messaging service stating the messaging service is not set up; then it hangs up. Besides that the store does not have a phone number so it is impossible for me to check if the Farmington store has new DVRs. So now it is up to me to guess when the Germantown/Farmington store has new DVRs, drive to the store to exchange units. If this Comcast customer service was concerned about me she would call me to announce they have new DVRs but of course that never occurred to her. Read moreNo local #s. Comcast is BS. Service out for 4 days. Cable?! Sir to the truth, Comcast suspended service during inclement weather so they didn't get exposed for not having enough bandwidth to service their customer base. So, rather than be exposed, they just turn it off! No numbers you can call. No person local you can talk to. Everything's automated in their system. But still you see no trucks out servicing the outage! Their system says it's 1 to 50 customers. However, I've spoken with people all over town who have Comcast that have no service in their entire neighborhoods. So, we know that's a lie, too. There are thousands locally who have no service currently. Their system said it would be repaired by yesterday evening at 8 o'clock. They're already 13 Hours overdue, with a new message that says "as soon as possible." As soon as possible will be when most people head back to work and don't need the extra bandwidth at home for work, movies, streaming, and everything else. Then, when Comcast feels safe enough not to be exposed for the lack of being able to service their client base (which is required by law), their service will be miraculously restored. I call BS. If you have the option to choose ANY and I mean ANY other provider RUN AND CHOOSE THEM. Even if they have the worst reviews in the world take it over them. My internet has gone out everyday for 2 years and I work from home. I’ve lost one job already because of this internet issues.
DURING THE STORMS IT WAS OUT FOR A WHOLE WEEK!!! I had made an appointment immediately and THEIR TECHS NO SHOWED TO THREE YES THREE appointments. Then continued to not care about my internet being out for another 5 days. My internet STILL goes out EVERDAY. Sometimes for days at a time and the people in the office tried to help me as much as they could but said they couldn’t do much if anything from the store because they don’t have communication with the techs scheduling. So even when I’ve gone IN PERSON they can’t help it’s just a place to drop off modems and buy phones. RUN! My whole neighborhood is actively logging every time we go out now and will be pursuing a massive law suit at this point because jobs have been jeopardized among other issues.
