I usually come at Arko to shop for some groceries. Though smaller than Seafood City, they have a better selection of quality, Filipino kitchen ingredients; from fruits, vegetables, meat, spices and condiments. Personally, I like it when they have fresh fish available. You can also have it cleaned and fried for you if you like.
Arko boasts a food service area with a wide selection of delicious Filipino food. Enjoy Filipino favorites like caldereta, sisig, menudo, mechado, adobo, kare-kare, lumpia, lechon paksiw etc. I recommend you to try their signature Filipino pork and chicken BBQ with sinangag (garlic fried rice). You may order party trays good for 15 to 50 people.
I also like it that they sell native snacks and "kakanin" (rice delicacies) Just a note: BEFORE buying, check the DATE; also consider the season as heat and humidity causes expiry sooner.
A lot of people come here to buy food for to go, but they also have available tables and seats outside if you are in a hurry to eat. Sufficient parking space. Store is clean and organized. You can even wash your hands outside the shop, however, no...
ย ย ย Read moreLove coming here! The food being sold here is authentic filipino food! My favorite is the beef steak, I can eat it all day! The store is also amazingly stocked of all filipino kitchen necessities! Even moving out of state I make sure I can stop by here and eat the delicious food! Anything you need can mostly be found here easily. You also have the option to buy your food and eat it at their outside dinning area. You don't have to worry about missing anything when shopping here! The staff here are also super friendly and are always willing to help you find things you need.
Also if there are some things you need, the staff takes notes on it to see the average needs and hopefully they bring it in their store. Always worth coming and shopping here! I promise you won't regret shopping. I wish they had more branches across the state but also in America. Im almost convinced in applying for a job here just to get the recipe for their food cuz that's how much I absolutely love their food here! I will be coming back here every time I visit California...
ย ย ย Read moreCame on a Sunday (Feb.19) to pick-up a Small Palabok that was due at 11am. It was already 11:43 and nobody has assisted me with my order. They rather help customers whose orders are bigger than mine. Even the woman manager on the take out food was ignoring me, too busy with her calculator for the next big order of the day. I had to call her twice to get her attention. I was discriminated because of my small order ($30). People said Arko is good and that is why I went there to try. Sure, it was good but aside from good food, there is this thing called, "Customer Service" In which the manager failed miserably. If she refuses to acknowledge my presence as a customer then I don't see any reason why I should go back. I will not waste my time & dime again on Arko. Back to good ole' Seafood City for me where I am greeted with a smile and more importantly, treated...
