I recently visited Taco Azteca, located in Glendale, and ordered food for my family and I. This food stand has been serving the community for over 20 years from a charming and familiar spot. They are known for their delicious selection of tacos, tortas, burritos and more. They are all made with fresh ingredients and traditional flavors. It had been quite a long time since my last visit, and returning brought back a wave of great nostalgia. The aroma of spices and freshly cooked food filled the air. It was the place where I first tried horchata and tacos, making it a meaningful spot for me. Although the restaurant was recently renovated, it still maintained the same warm, inviting atmosphere I remembered.
While placing my order, I had a chance to practice my Spanish and even asked the staff for help with a few phrases. They were friendly, helpful, and the service was impressively quick. Watching the food being freshly prepared, surrounded by the rich scent of spices, made me even more excited to eat. The prices were reasonable, and I ordered a few tacos (chicken and beef) and tortas (chicken). The freshness of the ingredients, mixed with the spiciness of the salsa, created the perfect blend—especially with the side of grilled jalapeño. My family and I enjoyed the meal and are looking forward to visiting again to taste their...
Read moreGreat place to grab a bite to eat. I came here to get some burritos de Asada, they are very well filled with rice, beans and your choice of meat in my case i chose Asada, for the current price of $13.50 its definitely worth it. It also taste home made, it doesnt taste like its been manufactured like other restaurants. The meat is freshly cooked and soft.
The only reason i took away a star is for the tacos i also ordered. The meat on the tacos for $3.00 each was too little. Ive been to another spot that hand makes their tortillas and pack each taco very well with meat for the same $3.00 price tag in Highland Park. So the tacos i probably wont buy again but the burritos? Oh man are they super delicious and definitely worth their price. I will definitely be back for the burritos.
Atmosphere is a 3 due to lack of parking, i had to park a full block away and i was about to change my mind on buying burritos but glad i chose to come here anyways. As for the seating, it would be nice for the seats to be movable so that a husky person can fit in the seats lol but not a deal breaker if you take it to go...
Read moreMy family and I have been going here for years and the food always taste great! The cons are that it's extremely cramped in that small space, and don't even think about going there when the high school across the street is out. It's so packed that it feels like you can't even breath. Also, they're jacking up their prices. Before, tacos use to be $1 each and now it's almost $2. The burritos use to be like $5 or $6 and now they're $8 almost $9. Lastly, all the works there are really friendly, except for the older big (fat) lady. She's really rude and treats you like an idiot. There's also another young female worker (that I haven't seen in a long time so hopefully she left) but she was also big (fat), she looked to be about 18 or 19. She wasn't rude, she just doesn't know what she's doing. She can't wrap burritos right so all the stuffing ends up...
