Burrito Bomba — Restaurant in Glendale

Had high hopes for this place, was surprised I was let down. On paper this place should be phenomenal. I had watched many Instagram videos of the burritos being made, foodies trying it out, and pretty much going off the word of the Instagram public, but I gotta say I was pretty unimpressed.

I ordered the steak and bacon breakfast burrito and it came in a red tortilla. I thought that was interesting, but cool that they wanna stand out from other spots. I cut into the burrito and the steak looked good, bacon not so much. It looked thin and undercooked. I’m not picky so I didn’t think twice about it and took my first bite. It seemed to have a different texture I was used to with a breakfast burrito, but I kept eating away and came to the conclusion halfway through that I just didn’t like it.

It’s the fact that the burrito didn’t really have anything to soak up the juices from the eggs, pico de gallo, and sauces that they throw on. I feel like they need to put more potatoes or switch it out to hash browns or tots (preferably tots). The pico de gallo also seemed a little off to me but I couldn’t tell you exactly what was off about it. Seemed like it might have been old? Or just fermenting in in the kitchen behind the counter for hours.

PSA, IF YOU FOUND THIS PLACE ON INSTAGRAM, I suggest that you dont come here. Long story short, I found this place via instagram and it always looked pretty appealing and I wanted to try it. I live about an hour and a half away so i made the drive to glendale, i walk in and theres no one at the counter, 5 mins later a young girl, uninterested in her work.. comes to help me, i look at the menu screen (showing all the items they have) and ask if i can change the chips for the bombas lokos ( chips with shrimp and sauce) as it’s advertised with a variety of chips on instagram. She lets me know only takis are available as the other chips are simply for advertising online. That was a huge disappointment in itself, so i say okay whatever ill go ahead and try it with the takis then.. she proceeds to tell me, we actually dont sell that menu item, we discontinued it. So why have it on the menu screen???? I thought it was quite stupid the item they advertised on their instagram isnt even anything tel sell at all! Lmao. If they’re looking for advertisment, it sure as hell brought me in, but no i didnt purchase anything, if i wanted a taco or burrito woulda stayed in my area instead of driving 1 hour. I ordered breakfast burrito online and so when I went to pick up at Glendale location, March 27, 2022 11:36 am I was inside this location for 3 minutes and the cashier not even knowing I was there because she was staring at her phone and look really sleepy. I asked her if my bf burrito order is good and she said "I never ate their food" ok so when my food came out, the cashier checked my receipt till the bottom and checked the food inside the box and gave it to me assuming it was correct. I came back for the wrong order and the cashier was very defensive in a disrespectful manner. I want a refund and she said they haven't gotten the money but on their receipt it show how with a phone number to call and she called that number not knowing it was their number. How can burrito Bomba hire someone like her including the cook who doesn't know what she is selling and basically doesn't know anything about her work? This business will suffer if you hire...
