Planet Fitness — Attraction in Gonzales

Rude personnel and bad costumer service provided. We wanted to join the gym and one of the night employees, Tyler Adams don't seemed to know their membership programs. He made us go back and forth different times because he will provide with different information. I went with my husband and we try to go to different gyms on a Sunday night and they were close. My husband was frustrated because the employee won't allow us to try the gym like other gyms. Other gyms have a 7 day trial period. The first thing he told us is that if we wanted to try the gym for one night it was going to be very expensive ($20 for one night). We were confused because the gym ask for $10/month, but wanted $20 for one night. After I spoke with my husband, he decided to join the gym or try it for one month. It was cheaper that way. The employee ask my husband for his license and my checking information. Once again, he made me go back to the car, because he won't take credit cards only a check for that. My husband asked him for the restroom and he showed to him. I made a comment of "what else planet fitness needs, my mortgage papers?" As I was getting frustrated. He told us that we didn't needed to join the gym if we didn't want it as we let him know our frustration with the requirements of a routing number and checking acc. My husband told him that he was planning to join for his health because the dr ask him to. He ask for the restroom and the employee show it to him. After the employee ask for his license and my check, He told him that may as well he could use the restroom and leave because he won't process his information. My husband ask why? and he told that because of his aptitude and that he didn't needed to take him. He told him that he was trespassing. We ask why he was saying that ?. He reply, "because I asked you to leave". We told him "you didn't ask us to leave, and then he say "I am asking you to leave now. My husband really needed to go to the bathroom, but we were planning to leave. As soon as he was going to the bathroom, he start calling the police and told them that he was trespassing and that my husband told him he was not going to leave which is not true at all. We ask to speak with the manager and he give us a card. when we call to speak with the manager the employee answer the phone. He was claiming to be the manager. I really didn't understand why he wanted to see my checking account and my husbands license if he was going to deny us admission. I don't feel comfortable with the employee getting my information and less comfortable dealing with a person who lie and try to use his position to mess with costumers and put them in trouble. The gym should have video cameras and his lie can be showed by looking at the video. We are planning to talk to upper management about the terrible costumer service we receive and the rudeness of the employee. We are assertive people, but we are not the kind that trespass. We are both professionals with college education and don't deserve to be treated like that. I won't recommend this...

In my three combines years of going to multiple different planet fitness’s, I have never once been told that I could not carry my small backpack around with me. Allow me to explain to you why my backpack is essential not only for my fitness journey but also for my health.

I have multiple different gym accessories needed for me to get the best workout that I can. I will not walk back and forth to the locker room everytime I need to switch something out.

I carry business cards in my backpack for the local GNC so when I meet people at the gym I can help better their fitness journey. I have been sending business to you from for nearly four years but best believe I will be turning all people away from this location from now on.

Most importantly I am a severe asthmatic that can have an attack at any given time. In my bag I keep medicines and inhalers in case I have a medical emergency. If I was to have something happen to me I would not be able to make it all the way to my locker or communicate to someone where my inhaler is.

This is extremely disappointing and disgusting from a business that prides themselves on having a healthy save environment for people...

If I could choose zero stars I would. This particular planet fitness is absolutely atrocious. The equipment is falling apart constantly, and when you go tell the teenage workers at the front desk about it they do absolutely nothing and the same nuts and bolts are falling out for weeks at a time on the same equipment. On top of that the drinking fountain water goes out for weeks at a time and management does nothing to fill the refrigerators that they have with any water. They have Powerade and or monster energy drinks that’s it. The bathrooms are constantly dirty, the same pieces of gum and trash stay in the urinals for weeks at a time . I have started go to a different planet fitness that is an extra 10 minute drive for me just to not to go to this one because of how bad the management obviously is and the lack of employees wanting to do anything at all. Other planet fitness’s I’ve never had any problems with and actually enjoy. This one in particular is a waste of...
