Widman's Candy Shop — Attraction in Grand Forks

My work was so excited to be able to order a assortment platter for 2 events we have for my work. I called 3 weeks ahead of time to get them ordered so they would be fresh. Fast forward to April 23rd, I go to pick up platter number 1only to be told that both platters were ready. I said that I in fact told the lady that took my order that one was needed 4/23 and the other was needed the first week of May to ensure the freshness... nope, they had them both done at the same time.. I only picked up one that day. the cost was $64.83... I go today (5/6/25) to get the second platter (which had been sitting for 2 weeks DONE) only for the price to jump over $10... THEY ARE THE EXACT SAME PLATTER. THE ITEM WAS SITTING THERE FOR 2 WEEKS READY and now I was charged $10+ MORE!! Way to go Widman's... I even asked as to why the price was so much more when the item was ready BEFORE your prices just randomly increased... The girl looked at me dumb founded with the deer in the headlights look... We were going to need roughly 10+ more platters for our summer events.. now we will be looking else where.. not because of the price increase because everything is rising in cost but because the exact same thing I got 2 weeks ago now cost $10+ MORE for no reason when my item was ready when the price was cheaper... Now I highly doubt anyone will even respond to this and that alone will definitely make our decision to go elsewhere...

Middle aged gentlemen working the front overcharged me by 10$. I purchashed 3 bags that were 2.95 and then a 1/4 lb of raspberry jelly sticks covered in chocolate. The total came around to be 23$. I gave him my card originally but forgot that my paycheck probably hadn't went through to my checking yet and there was only 10$ on the card. After trying the card he said I had a difference of 13$ to pay so I said ok and took out 13$ in cash to pay. A second later after comfirming that he needed 13$ he instead changed his answer to 23$. When he gave me my change back he immediately moved onto the next customer (as it was very busy at the time) without offering me a receipt. When I went back to my car I looked in my account and saw 10$ had been taken from it I would have would have come back and said something about it but I had work...

This place has the best chocolate ever in the world!!!!!! There are hundreds upon thousands of different chocolate candies and regular candies that you can choose from, you walk in and the smell is absolutely amazing!!! Once you walk in you do not want to walk out! He won't be satisfied with the choices that you make there are so many and also the workers will let you have a choice to try of your choosing, so that's cool! They are especially known for their chocolate covered chippers! They are amazing!!! Love the place! They have caramel apples many different assorted kinds which some are covered with chocolate or peanuts, ECT... if you haven't been there I suggest that you go because you will not regret it!
