Bought a new gun online and was shipped to Sportsmans. Received an email that my gun was at the store. Went to pick it up and computer system was down (was not their fault as this was a multi-state failure). Went back the next day and they said the gun was not in the store (second wasted trip). Waited a few more days and got a phone call from a store manager saying my gun was ready to be picked up. Went to store and picked up the gun with no problem. The store manager told me not to come based on an email and to always wait for a phone call from the store. Who would have known that. With online orders. Sportsman's should add information in their website that reflects that a person should wait to be called before traveling to the store. In rural area's, people commonly travel 100 - 150 miles to get to this store so it's a major inconvenience when someone travels that fast food no thing. If Sportsmans truly wants to enhance their customer service and customer experience, you should look at streamlining your process at the corporate level across all stores. Additionally, on all three trips, the entire gun department was staffed by only one person. This results in customer delays to either wait for service or having to wait for someone else from the store to be called to assist as they are not allowed to leave the gun department. Better staffing would also result in a much better customer experience. I love Sportsmans and have shopped there for years but making a few changes would be a...
Read moreI am rating this one star today because I went in to get a shirt and discovered a very busy store and only 10% of people wearing masks. We are under a state mask mandate for Covid right now. We are in a surge according to Public Health and they are NOT following the law to protect our community. So I went up to the desk to ask why they are not enforcing the mask mandate and I was told there was no way they could compel people to follow the law. Walmart manages. Target manages. This is the only store in the valley I have been to since people started dying that is NOT encouraging or offering incentives to get them to do it! ARC thrift store offers a discount if you wear your mask! And I am immunocompromised with no ability to fight infection or viruses. I wear a mask out of respect for my neighbors and community as much as to protect me! So I will not be frequenting this establishment for a long time if ever. This business doesn't care...
Read moreLong story short. My wife and I were looking at guns for here to carry on the internet together. We were using my phone and after finding what she wanted I sent here a screenshot of the sportsman's page. She went to sportsman's yesterday showed Cody at the gun counter the pic. He pulled the gun and let her look at it. She told him that she wanted it and wanted to do a background check. He told her no and that if he did she would be committing a felony because she is buying the gun for someone else. He said it was part of the ATF training. I called around to other gun shops and nobody else has ever heard of that law... sounds like a power trip to me. Needless to say we will never return to sportsman's after she was embarrassed in front of other costumers for being an honest legal gun purchaser. I feel that this was a violation of her 2A rights and defamation of character. Go to Jerry's...
