An excellent place for live music right on the edge of downtown Greensboro, and plenty of seating for folks who need to. The bar is well stocked, and well laid out for quick service on crowded evenings. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. But, most importantly, the stage, tho a little small, is well lit, and the sound system on point, and they generally have an excellent sound person riding the levels. For live music this is a near ideal and intimate place.

One of our favorites, Will Hoge, was at the Flat Iron on Wednesday night... so we made the drive from Durham to see the show (and check out the Flat Iron --- which we'd never been to). Easy to find. Convenient parking across the street. This is a GREAT bar! The staff was attentive and friendly, the selection of drinks was pretty extensive and the room was perfect for live music. I'll be keeping an eye on their music schedule to find more opportunities to visit.

Flat Iron is always on point!!! If you love music and being around people that love music, this is definitely the place for you. Caleb is an amazing bartender with skills… cocktails were amazing. Johnny Utah, Negroni and Shot of Air are delicious, Great staff, great owners and great music. If you are in the area it’s a venue you absolutely should check out. If you’re not in the area, plan a trip and check them out. You will be glad you did!

ETA: Moving this to five stars because the owners really care about their establishment, and the more I go there, the more I love it. Service has improved since I wrote this review.

New in town, walked in to find a house music event happening, which was a lovely surprise. Enjoyed the crowd and the scene, met some folks, and was told by several people that this place usually always has this kind of social vibe, tho is usually more live music than DJs.

I would love a regular house music night (tho not with a $15 cover charge), especially here. Really love the venue.

One star service, however, for bartenders who appear to hate their jobs, life, or their customers. The bar was pretty empty when I got there but they were acting like they were slammed and couldn't be bothered with people. Another for the fact that they were charging $1.50 more per drink than what it said on the sign. I was informed they had raised the prices two days before. It could have taken someone five minutes to update that. I have a two drink limit, but that night I didn't even buy a second because I didn't feel like dealing with any...

Popped in for a quick drink after a long day of work to be greeted by a very rude bartender who almost seemed annoyed to have to pour a drink at 10:30PM despite the business page on Google claiming to be open until 2AM. Said “we’re a venue so we only serve drinks for an hour after the band is done”. My guess is unless you come early and pay the cover charge for the band then they don’t want to see you. After finishing our first drink I tried to get his attention twice to ask him details about the concerts at this venue and was ignored as I’m guessing he thought we were trying to order another drink and he was trying to close up. Very unpleasant experience. We ended up just leaving to grab some food and a drink at a place down the street. If you’re looking for a spot late to grab a quick drink I’d recommend looking elsewhere as it seems this place won’t welcome you nor do they want...
