Brookshire's — Attraction in Greenville

I love getting to go into this store for anything I need. The pharmacy is swift, simple, very reasonable pricing and always happy to help. The deli and meats departments are always fresh, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion. The store in general is always kept well lit, very clean (even the parking lot), I never feel unsafe here and I have never met an unfriendly or unhelpful employee. Everyone is smiling and I imagine it's because they get paid well and treated like people who are helping a business thrive. Yes, Walmart is usually cheaper, but look at the big picture there, I will gladly spend a bit more to support a place that supports their employees. I've been told by several people and even another company that the management here is outstanding at handling hard situations and even keeps certain emergency stock incase the first of the month hits and the government assisted goods are all gone when someone genuinely needs it. They suppport the local first responders, schools, and commuinty. You can feel the great amount of pride that is taken in this store's being and I would be greatly saddened if this store was to close...

In person would get 5 stars. Online don't deserve 1 star. The last time we did online they forgot all my meat. It took several calls once I got home and a few days to get reimbursed. Today did an online order for my husband to pick up on his way home. He arrived and called and was told they would be right out. After 30 min called again and spoke to a mgr that gave him excuses of ppl called in and they were short handed and didn't even apologize. A simple text earlier in the day could have resolved the whole entire issue. After over an hour they came out with a tons of substitutes that no one even checked with us on and told him he needed to pay when I paid online this morning. It doesn't allow you to submit without payment. He ended up leaving the groceries there. After an hour online ordering, over an hour waiting and now have to make a trip in person couldn't even get an apology, just excuses. They need Chik fil A customer...

This should be the Commerce Location not Greenville.... Clean store, friendly employees, deli and meat counters are well stocked and organized, managers will open more checkout lines when more than three people are in line even personally running a register themselves. Sale items usually always available but occasionally if it's a super good price they will run out before the truck comes. Good selection of brands to choose from but store brand is just as good as some name brands in most cases and when it comes to the frozen veggies I buy store brand even when name brand is on sale because of the quality, for example broccoli florets from name brands have more stem than florets in comparison to store brand. As a former Brookshires employee 33 years ago I know they are a great company to work for and some of the people I worked with are still with the company.
