I found an accent chair at Home Goods store today that I wanted to buy and asked one of the closest store associate to take it to the front of the store for me. The associate took off a sticker of the accent chair and took the chair in front of the store closer to exit doors. I went to stand in line with the chair sticker for about 15-20 mins until I got in front of the line. When I got to the register, the lady at the register went with me to the front of the store to check that the chair is there and it’s the right chair as on the sticker in my hand. Then we went back to the register and I purchased the accent chair. I had a receipt in my had and when I got to the door front where the chair was located, the chair was gone. I went back to the lady that I bought it from and told her the chair is missing. As we got together with her to the store front another lady at a different register said that the chair was sold to some one else as she was still processing a purchase for a customer who she was selling the chairs to. Apparently she had selling the chairs to another customer who was opening TJ credit card and purchasing accent chair I bought already.
As I was standing in line with the price sticker to buy this accent chair, the other registry lady took the customer passed the line in front because she was opening a TJ credit card and told her that she can purchase the chair I had the sticker in my hand and another one with it while I was standing in line to make a purchase.
And even though I made a purchase first the second registry lady refused to give me the chair that I purchased and told me to return the chair.
I felt it was very unfair for second registry lady to do so to me as I was the first one who bought this chair. I had to stand in line and had the chair ready for me to take out not for some one else. I wanted to share this exprience with the public so someone else doesn’t get this type of treatment from Home Goods store associates as I was treated.
Hopefully Home Goods will fix this some how with the treating fairly every customer no mater they are opening TJ credit card at the time of purchase or not. If you have the sticker in your hand and stood in line for it and purchased it first, the purchase should be yours.
Amen! God bless and...
Read moreThe manager Natalie is extremely rude. I tried to return a couple sweaters and after the cashier talked to her about it, she rudely came up to the register and slammed the sweater down and said “we can’t return this” and I asked why, and she said “it’s been worn” and I said “no it hasn’t” because I hadn’t ever worn either of the sweaters, I took them home and took the tags off cause I thought I wanted them but then decided I didn’t want them. And she said “it’s obviously been worn. It smells like perfume and it has stains all over it” the “stain” she was referring to was a dust bunny that could easily come off that was like then when I bought it cause I accidentally dropped it on the floor in the dressing room. And the “perfume” she’s referring to was just the smell of it being in my house cause I had candles all over my house and my house smells like candles. And I said “I’ve never worn it. If was just sitting in my house” then she looks at me and talks to me as if I’m stupid and said “smell it, it’s DOUSED in perfume.” And I said “it’s not perfume it was just sitting in my house” and she said “if that’s how your house smells then you can’t breathe” and I said fine whatever cause I didn’t wanna argue with her. Bottom line is Natalie is so rude and extremely disrespectful and unprofessional and you do not talk to or treat customers that way as if they are stupid and accuse them of lying and then make a remark about “the smell of my house” ESPECIALLY as...
Read moreWas having a wondering experience shopping at this location with my family. Cashier Karina was excellent. One of the items I was trying to purchase did not have a tag, when checking out my cashier asked her manager for assistance on what the pricing on it was. Respectfully I chose not to purchase the item I really wanted, since the price did not line up. I offered to go get a similar pair of socks, walked across the whole store in a hurry. I would at least expect the manager on duty, to have at least walked over and talked to me about the situation. I asked Karina the cashier what her managers name was. The manager rudely pointed to her name tag, started her name was DEE and said “it’s with two e’s”. Alongside saying I wanted her name for an 17 dollar item, as if I couldn’t afford the item,. I felt discriminated against while customers were around including my family and witnessed her going back and forth with me about the situation. I did not want to cause issues I was just asking for a name, so DEE the manager continued to say her name out loud and told me to make sure I spell it right. This was super uncomfortable and unnecessary from her end. I was tried my best to keep calm and told her that there was no need to have a back and forth. Her staff witnessed the situation and I hope do somthing about this type of customer service. I will not consider going back to this location again in the near future due to my experience with...
