Review of First Watch Restaurant:
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've been eagerly anticipating a visit to First Watch Restaurant for breakfast for quite some time now, drawn in by the positive reviews and its convenient location near my home. Upon arrival, I was initially disappointed by a minor hiccup in service, but ultimately left impressed by the overall experience.
When I walked in and requested a booth, the hostess kindly suggested a seat at the bar with a view. Although I wasn't aware they had a bar, I agreed. Unfortunately, I found myself waiting for acknowledgment for about 10 minutes, even though there was someone clearly present. Feeling a bit neglected, I almost left, but I decided to give it another shot.
After requesting a booth for service, I was promptly re-seated, and that's when my experience took a turn for the better. A very pleasant server approached me and took the time to walk me through the menu, which I greatly appreciated as a first-timer.
For my order, I opted for black coffee alongside the Morning Meditation Fresh Juice, a delightful concoction of orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar, and beet, with an extra wellness shot of antioxidant-rich vitamins. The juice was refreshing and packed with flavor, while the coffee hit the spot perfectly.
As for my main dish, I selected "The Works Omelet," but with a few modifications to suit my taste preferences. I switched out the cheddar cheese for gruyere, added goat cheese (because who doesn't love goat cheese in their omelet?), and swapped the multi-grain toast for English muffins. Although there was a slight oversight with the toast initially, the server promptly rectified it by bringing out an English muffin. Both versions were tasty, and I appreciated the quick response to correct the mistake.
The omelet itself was a delight, packed with ham, bacon, sausage, house-roasted crimini mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes, all topped with all-natural sour cream. The potatoes served alongside were equally delicious, though I was disappointed to learn they were out of the Bob's Red Mill Buttered Grits, which I had been eager to try.
Once I received proper service, everything flowed smoothly. The food was superb, and as I observed other orders being served around me, everything looked equally splendid.
While the initial lack of attention detracted slightly from my experience, I must commend the staff for their prompt resolution and the overall quality of the food and beverages. With a bit of improvement in initial service, First Watch Restaurant would undoubtedly earn a solid 5-star rating from me. Nonetheless, considering the exceptional food and drinks, I will definitely be returning to reevaluate my review in the future.
Overall, my breakfast experience at First Watch was enjoyable, and I look forward to...
Read moreMy mom and I came here on a Saturday for brunch. We had a 30 min wait but were fine with that due to hearing so many good things and we expected it to be busy. First impression: nice layout, friendly staff, organized, prices are reasonable, nice size portions of food. We were seated within the time frame we were told and Logan was our server. I ordered the trifecta with scrambled eggs and a multigrain pancake with turkey sausage link. My mom ordered one of the Farmhouse Hash with a morning meditation juice. We also ordered a shareable lemon blueberry cornbread. All of our food was delicious, and fresh. My multigrain pancake was so large that it came out on a plate by itself that I could’ve definitely shared with someone else, well worth the money in taste, quality and size! The cornbread was just the right amount of sweetness and I would order again. Logan was attentive, funny, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time we were there. My mom originally wanted the new watermelon wake up juice but Logan informed us that they ran out of it this morning which prompted my mom to order the morning meditation juice. Logan came back by our table to say she has a small portion left if my mom wanted a shot sized sample of it which I though was very sweet of her to offer! Logan even remembered to stop back by to ask if I was ready to place my To-go order I mentioned to her when we were first seated because I wanted to take food home to my husband. I loved that I didn’t have to remind her because I probably would have forgot until it was too late! I ended up ordering the turkey sausage biscuit gravy meal with scrambled eggs and some bob mill buttered grits and they meal did not disappoint! My husband loved it so much that we came back on Sunday to pick up a to-go order for him and I. If you are thinking of going to First Watch on Woodruff road, you will not regret it. Make sure you ask for Logan to be...
Read moreWe visited for brunch on a weekday, as it is a newly popular spot in town and the good word has been spreading about the place! Our server was Bri and she was amazing! She was very friendly and welcoming as if we were old friends who just met up. She was extremely helpful in making recommendations and explaining items on the menu. She genuinely had a conversation with us to gain more insight into what types of things she should offer to us. Often servers are so rushed (rightfully so) that the experience and human interaction suffers, but this was quite the opposite. I felt confident in her recommendations because she had spent a couple of moments gathering info about our preferences. She made excellent recommendations that we both loved! We had the BLTE and "The Traditional" as our meals, and I tried the Tropical Sunrise drink. Everything was better than advertised! Our server recommended that we try one of the drinks from the Juice Bar, which we did and the Purple Haze was the standout! We both agreed that the others were good as well, but there was something very refreshing and light about the Purple Haze beverage. We enjoyed the entire experience, the atmosphere is open and I noticed the actual juice "bar" area, that I would come back and have a meal or juice alone and not feel like I'm by myself. It was a very enjoyable experience that was orchestrated by our wonderful wait staff Bri who left us on a high note with her smile and charm! I look forward to...
