I went to the CODOGIRL fashion haven in Greenwich, CT for the first time 2 days ago. I knew from the moment I walked in that I was somewhere very special. I had spoken with Anna over the phone prior to going and when she greeted me I felt an immediate connection. She was welcoming in a way that is rare these days in retail, and in life. She exuded a warmth beyond words, and clearly adores what she does and is extremely knowledgeable, treating every piece in the store like the treasure that it is. I brought several pieces to consign, two of which she chose, with a delight in their beauty and quality. For the things she did not choose, she explained exactly why, what type of fashion Codogirl looks for to add to their magnificent collection. She had a deep respect for me as a first-time seller, never giving me the impression that what I had brought was inferior in any way. Ii spoke with Yulia Omelich, the co-founder of Codogirl, yesterday over the phone to rave about my experience. She is so humble and proud of what she has built. I felt honored to speak with her and I look forward to getting to know her better and meeting her devoted staff. I am neither young nor fashion savvy in a way that so many people are, but my interactions awakened in me my love of beautiful things, made with love and things meant to endure the ravages of time. Looking at vintage fashion brought back many memories of childhood, browsing the store windows of Manhattan, wishing I could own something lovely. With Codogirl I know that my dream will come true. No matter how much I can or cannot afford I feel that I will someday I, too, will be able to own a...
Read moreAs I was walking down Greenwich Avenue, I came across COUTUREDossier and instantly fell in love with the idea of the store. Yulia, the creator of COUTURED (CODO) didn’t hesitate to start a conversation with me and was very passionate about her business. She was also very open-minded and creative as she came up with a way to catch peoples eyes with her clothing line and her pre-loved and new handbags by creating a business with both retail, resale, and refashion. Some of her pieces in her clothing line are made in CT as well which makes this line extremely unique.
Within her store, there are many different types of styles and brands. From Gucci bags to Fendi monogram tops, to CODO cardigans straight from Yulia’s clothing line.
In terms of customer service, I met Tori who was extremely kind and helpful in terms of finding clothes that matched my style and bags that would look good with those outfits. There is a huge variety of clothing here and bags, there is a style for everyone.
From vintage to professional chic, this shop is infused with great pieces that are all either from retail, resale or refashioned. Do make sure to check it out for yourself, right above the Granola Bar, on the Greenwich Avenue, to see some and wear some sustainable...
Read moreI'm a long-time luxury fashion and accessories collector of all decades, so I like to think I know a thing or two about product history, craftsmanship, and valuation.
With quite a few pieces collecting dust, I wanted to find a resale brand that shared my knowledge and excitement for luxe fashion. After extensive research on commission rates, customer reviews, etc., I stumbled across CODOGIRL and I'm so happy I did.
The team welcomed me to their Greenwich showroom with water and coffee, top-tier customer service and a fabulous collection of pieces that even I hadn't seen before. My quote was higher than any other consignment shop I'd visited because CODOGIRL's product knowledge is unmatched. And, because their pricing was so fair, I even picked up a few new pieces. I'll never turn back---they're my new...
