This review is long overdue. I was shopping for my first luxury watch and I fell in love with the Breitling Superocean Heritage 38, which had been discontinued 5+ years. I knew that I was only going to be able to find it used, if at all, and began my search. I contacted every luxury watch jeweler in Hawaii (where I was living), Texas (where I was moving to), and Connecticut (home), plus all the big-name chains that sell Breitling watches, to no avail. Even the Breitling outlet in New York, the only one in the U.S., told me it was going to be nearly impossible to find. No luck on the grey market either. Of all these jewelers, Shreve, Crump & Low is the only one that continued to try and locate a SOH 38 for weeks after my initial call. George was determined to find me another watch I loved no matter what and really took the time to talk to me about my specific style and function preferences so that he could pick out other watches to show me next time I was in Connecticut. When I finally made it into the store I was greeted by Brad who had been helping George with my case. Brad decided to make one last-ditch effort to locate a SOH 38 while George showed me the other watches he picked for me. I cannot say enough good things about how honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional these gentlemen are. I was all set to buy a Hublot when Brad came back and informed me that Breitling was sending a new, yes NEW, Superocean Heritage 38 to Shreve, Crump & Low for me. I realize shoping for an engagement ring together is not what every couple wants to do, but for those who want to enjoy the experience and make a decision together, definitely put Shreve Crump & Low on your list of places to go!!

I stumbled upon a stunning sapphire diamond ring from Shreve Crump & Low online, only to find out that it was in the Boston location. After some researching on their instagram / website, it looked like it was in fact one of a kind so I reached out to inquire about how to try it on. The Boston store was so attentive over email, and quickly shipped it to the Greenwich store for me to try on that weekend. They introduced me to Olivia (a sales associate in the Greenwich store) over email who was the absolute sweetest! We were in great hands the minute we walked into the store. She immediately brought out from the back and was so knowledgeable about the ring. Olivia helped us try on other options (diamonds, sapphires, etc) before we decided that the one they had sent from the Boston store was definitely the one!

Once we decided to purchase, they brought out champagne, helped us try on wedding bands for both of us and even recommended places nearby to have more drinks to celebrate once we were done in the shop. Olivia let me wear the ring around while she handled all of the paperwork.

While we were enjoying a cocktail down the road, an email popped up from Olivia congratulating us and wishing us well. She kept us posted every step of the way while the ring needed to be resized and the check to clear later on in the week.

The other day I was shopping for a watch on Greenwich Ave., when I happened to walk into Shreve, Crump & Low for the first time. I was promptly greeted by one of their sales associates, Meryl Handler. She inquired what I was looking for, and I advised her - a limited edition watch (of which only 500 were produced). Though that particular store (unsurprisingly), did not have any in stock, undaunted, Meryl advised that she would research whether she could find one. Later that day, Meryl called me to let me know that after doing some research she had found the exact watch I was looking. I was able to order it right then, over the phone, and Meryl made sure it was delivered overnight to her store. She then took the initiative to gift wrap it for me (I happened to mention that it was a gift for my son), and then she shipped it overnight to him (he received it yesterday before noon). Moreover, because it already was late in the day, and knowing that I was hoping to receive it the next day, Meryl personally walked the package to the FedEx office - that is the epitome of customer service. In sum, my purchase could not have proceeded more seamlessly, or with greater ease. In a world now dominated by online, impersonal shopping, it was so nice to have such a unique, personalized customer service experience. In a word, Meryl was phenomenal - a true pleasure to deal with and flawless in her execution.
