Dinetteland — Attraction in Greenwood

Do you ever run into business who deserves way more than 5 stars? Dennis and Dinetteland is one of those businesses/persons. Long story shortened...I recently purchased a home in Indiana after relocating from out of state. My wife and I purchased a dining room table from well known furniture store (rhymes with Bashley's---uggghh) who initially stated the table would be available within a few weeks. 2 months later and we were now being told it would be many months more of waiting before we would see that table. This is where Dennis and Dinetteland comes in...My wife and I stopped in to his store to look around and we mentioned our frustration with eating off our countertops due to our inability to obtain a dining room table from that "other place" I mentioned. Dennis went out of his way to assist us in finding a table and chairs in his showroom and subsequently sold it to us. Not only did he do that, he helped us load it in our truck and was cordial the entire time. His prices were amazing so much we went back and purchased a matching buffet. Needless to say, we had an identical experience the second time we came back. I'm a stickler for customer service and I've learned the hard way you get what you pay for. I can tell you this...if you want good furniture at a great price with incredible customer service, then take the time and come here...For the people who know me, they know I am very direct, honest, and blunt person(read my Yelp reviews)...If you have good service, I say so..If you don't, I say so.. Was told I would have my table and chairs in around 6 weeks . After 4 months of no communication and no voicemails returned, I informed them via voicemail that I would dispute my credit card if I didn't hear something today. They called me back that day...told me my table was on a truck somewhere. Another 3 weeks went by and Denis said I cannot help when the manufacturer gets the product....I told him but you can help with communication...by not communicating you are making the situation worse when we spend 1000's of dollars with you. He never apologized. So a few more weeks went by as we are now 6 months of waiting and I said this is ridiculous...Denis told me he could get it here in the next week as he had one at Castleton store. So why did I have to wait? The moment arrived that we are to get my table ...everything was great but the 2 pieces were not the same color. ..in which he argued with me and had me take several pics. So again, He said he would call the manufacturer to see what they could do...heard nothing again for a week. Finally, they answered and he said they would replace one of my pieces. After another week he sent "a" guy here alone with no dolly. He had to lift it and carry out to the truck. Also, told me that he asked Denis if he wanted to come help but Denis didn't want to come help with our stuff. This was the worst customer service ever!!. I would never buy anything from this disrespectful, non-communicating, full of non truths again! Beware of this!! Trust the 1 star...

I want to tell everyone about dinette land, Dennis and James were both extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I love my new dining set which had to be built, a lot of their furniture can be built by the Amish and some are not. But the choices you get to make I got to choose between three different styles of chairs so many colors like the base one color and the top a wood. My table is stone chairs which is a light gray but sometimes it has a green shade to it and the base is but the chair seat and the top of the table is solid I don't know if it's oak but it's not a light and it's not a dark it's in between and it is the most gorgeous wood I have ever seen in my life. I am so excited about my table and chairs I would show you a picture but it's being delivered but I just want you to know that if you're looking for a dining room table and chairs you need to go visit dinette land, the volume of choices is in us and colors so beautiful and many heights you can get it regular height bar height or counter height I got counter height because I'm handicapping this way I just slide right in I don't have to bend down and I couldn't get up on a high one so I got the best choice for me.
