I purchased a kitchen design with Home Depot, cabinets, countertops, everything. After several revisions we finally settled on our plan. Paid for that plan which was cabinets, countertops, trim everything. In July. Our cabinets was to come October 28th. They arrived. The top of the cabinets were with No bottom to them. We had to reorder. They were to come in Christmas. In the mean time we were to put the bottom cabinets in to get ready for the counter top to be installed. December came and our cabinets were wrong again. Had to get them ordered again. We asked at that time about counter tops. We were told we were short 2700.00 because of island wasn’t included although it was measured every time and was in all the drawings. The cabinets were ordered for the island the trash can was ordered, sink was taken care, microwave was taken care of but there was no counter tops for island. We discussed this with Home Depot they said we owed this would not work at all with us, nor would they assist in any way. We either had to change our design which remind you our cabinets were already placed and the kitchen was already designed with the white and blue cabinets and the counter tops I wanted were white with gray and blue in them called summer brook. This was all decided way back in July it’s now January and they are wanting me to choose a different counter top or different design which I can’t now or they will give me my money back. That’s how they treat thier customers. After spending over 30,000 with them. Or I could pay another 2700.00 to finish job. Because they forgot to include the island in the 3 revision on Sq feet. Upon arrival, the product packaging was in terrible condition, which led me to inspect the product more closely. I quickly found that the item I purchased, waited 6 days for, and drove 20 miles to pick up was damaged. When I notified the service desk that I would like to speak to a manager, it took at least 20 minutes for them to arrive at the service desk. Once they saw the product, they claimed that the packaging was damaged because their receiving members wanted to inspect it upon receipt. I asked what they did when they found in issue with damage, and he stated that the store will return it to the vendor. I don't believe this to be true, as the manager seemed to have no problem with still selling the damaged product at full price. When I pointed out the damage, and that I'd like a comparable product for the same price, the manager pointed out another item that would match it in price. When I expected him to exchange the items, he simply refunded my money and made me look like a fool as I started to walk out with the replacement mower, stating that I would need to pay for it. When I asked him if the store accepted PayPal, he said it did not. I said that I would then find my new mower at a different store. Read moreI took in large paint chips to have the color matched and bought a quart of two different Colors. The person in paint seemed to know little about paint so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I came in to get the paint exchanged and the told me even tho it was their mistake they can’t accept it back. They told me I was just stuck taking the loss. I’ve been painting for awhile now and have had this happen before and Lowe’s has not problem refining the paint and making sure you get what you need. I highly recommend going to Lowe’s and if anyone should feel the need to see examples. I took pictures and that didn’t suffice Home Depot. I will never be back to Home Depot and every contractor I work for I am going to turn away from Home Depot with this exact reason and proof of my purchase and proof that the paint didn’t match. The sales receipt and time stamp of the photos will surely suffice. Do your self a favor a go to Lowe’s.
