Sew So Good Alterations — Attraction in Gypsum Township

While the shop is cute and I’m sure the work is good (haven’t tried on my items yet), I am very shocked at the price. When I did drop off, the pricing was never discussed. I wasn’t told what each item would cost or a ball park of what my final price would be. I’ve had clothes tailored before so I thought of an estimate on my head based on that, which was around $7-10/item. I paid $18/item!!! Some of the items I got at goodwill for $3-5 and wanted them to fit a little better. I only needed the waist tightened on my items. I will not be going back here. If they had been upfront, I may have chosen to wait on some items or decide that some items weren’t worth tailoring. But like I said a price was never given to me on each item...

I was looking to do alterations on a pair of jeans I bought from the Bloomingdales online store (since the jeans didn’t fit to my liking). I came across this place due to their 5 star reviews. Maybe there was some miscommunication but I clearly said I wanted original hem. It was even written on the receipt. Turns out I get the jeans and they don’t have an original hem. The threading is much thicker and it looks awful. I would take a picture of it but it’s already with another tailor being worked on. I would give this place a 1 star if it wasn’t for the owner being nice and the service being so fast. This is nothing personal, I’m just utterly disappointed...

I chose this place to have a bridesmaid gown fitted for my daughter. I spoke with them via Google chat where I was able to explain what I needed and they were able to tell me if they could get it done and how long to turn around time would be. I didn't need an appointment but I did call before I went in to make sure they weren't busy. The woman that did the fitting was very sweet very fast very knowledgeable about what she was doing. I was very happy with the cost which was fairly low considering the work that needed to be done. If I need alterations done again I will...
