I’ve had to call ahead couple days to reserve a time slot for the museum tour. Went on 3/3/22 at 10am and there was only another family and ours while we were there in the time slot. Got the whole museum to be able to roam and learn about Guam’s history and the CHamoru ancestors and it was very informational. You get to watch a 9 minute short movie prior to walking thru the museum and then there are two floors to be able to read, interact and view what made Guam It was $3/ per person and kids are free Parking available alongside the building and very close to chamorro village where there were food trucks outside in the back as well during lunch time on a Thursday

The Guam Museum Deserves Five Stars - The museum focuses on the journey of the Chamorro people (the native people of Guam) by interactively engaging the visitor through dialogue, shared perspectives and experiences. Local Chamorro Architect Andy Laguana designed the museum using a weaving effect - like the baskets his father once used as a fisherman. I’ve been to many museums around the world. For it size and content, the Guam Museum deserves five stars. Helpful Hint: It’s an easy walk to the Latte Stone Memorial Park and Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica.

This is a pretty interesting museum. There are a lot of artifacts here (don’t forget to open drawers!) as well as a lot of information to read. There is a decent amount of local art, and the video at the beginning telling the CHamorro creation story is very cool. My only complaints are several areas are so dark you can’t see the artifacts and the in-case lights don’t come on. There’s also scrolling text at the top and the bottom of a lot of the areas with heavy reading which was very distracting. Overall it was a great experience and I love bringing visitors here.

I love the new look and design.

I also love the upgrades and technology they have in their newly opened permanent display.

I also like the short movie they show in one of their museum.

The place is very clean and the tour guides are very knowledgeable and kind and professional.

All the other staffs including their security are very friendly and accommodating to all visitors.

They always have a warm welcoming smile and island hospitality.

I also love the cookies they have for sale in their in-house coffee shop.

My family really enjoyed the visit to the museum.

Thank you go out to the Guam museum staff and management.

I highly recommend this visit to the museum to all those interested in the islands past during world war 2.

Also to those who are interested in the island's...

9/2025: needs help with funding and asking other nonprofits for help. Presentation showcased all the personal events by staff and their families instead of cultural and educational events. I hope they paid the same rental fees posted for the public and not treat it like it’s there living (a free venue ).

Bringing grandkids this weekend. We’ll see if I should encourage others to donate… or not.

2024: Bathroom facility falling apart. No tissue and the lecture just started. If you’re got to lease the discs for events , make sure your toilets are working and have toilet tissue. Event was ending and someone comes in to clean but doesn’t bring...
