If you're missing In-N-Out and happen to find yourself in Guam, Stax Smash Burgers is your ticket home—well, kinda. Some people out here are quick to knock it, claiming it's "subpar" compared to other burger spots on the island. But let’s be real, those are just the people who have a lifelong love affair with Whataburger and can’t handle anything better (we’ve all got that one friend).
For me, though, if I’m craving a burger, Stax is the go-to. Seriously, this is the closest I’ll get to home flavors, and if you're an In-N-Out fan, you’ll get it. You can taste the love in that burger. My current fave? The Chipotle Honey Burger. It's the perfect mix of sweet and spicy that hits the spot every time.
I recently tried their Boonie Style Tots, and while I’m not a huge fan of In-N-Out’s Animal Style fries, these were… fine. Nothing earth-shattering, but I can appreciate the effort. Next time, though, I think I'll just go with the regular fries or tater tots because, honestly, you can’t go wrong with the basics.
Pro tip: don’t skimp on the patties. Get at least a double—trust me, the single patty feels more like a suggestion. The only downside here is that the patties are pretty thin, but if you double up, it’s game on.
So, forget the In-N-Out haters and give Stax a shot. It's as close as you’ll get to that West Coast burger bliss in the middle of...
Read more03/20/23 (Initial Post) Waited 15 minutes for Classic Burger, regular fries, and water. Not enough seating. Asked waitress for side mayo, they don't have. Fries were cooled down and over fried. Took two bites of the burger no taste of OG sauce. Notified waitress, she said it should be in the middle of the burger. Asked her for OG sauce on the side she said $2 extra. Took another two bites before I tasted the OG sauce. Told the waitress again about the four bites, she said the sauce might have shifted to the back. I said it should be in every bite. She said sorry.
Who's sorry now? I have never posted anything on the internet about any dining facility until now. Wow!
03/21/23 (2nd post) Thank you Sir / Ma'am for your immediate reply. 🙏
I have only heard positive reviews about your restaraunt from my coworkers. That was what prompted me to stop on by. I'm not trying to damage or ruin anyone or any business. I just want the same experience as everybody. Unfortunately, it did not happen for me yesterday, and I felt unimportant.
I will be sure to stop in again with a different name so not to be targeted, and with hopes to have a 5 star rating and to delete my previous post.
Thanks again and...
Read moreSome spots are legendary for a reason, and this is one of the local legends creating Smash Burgers like they were intended to be! These are "True" Smashburgers--an incredibly thin piece of beef flattened and smeared across the flattop to give it a truly uniformed crust and incredibly chew! No fuss, nothing over-imagined or overly unique, just a simple good burger made exceptionally well!
Their sauces are incredible as well and pair expertly with each creation. Their original OG Fry-sauce (reminiscent of In-N-Out sauce without the relish) and Honey Chipotle are absolutely phenomenal, and it's worth paying for an extra cup of the dipping sauces. Their fries and tater tots are all exceptional in that "Old-School Diner" type of way--it'll bring back memories of when you were a kid for sure! Staff was super friendly, kind, and the food was cooked quick and fresh despite the long line of people. The interior of the restaurant has definite old-school vibes and made the entire experience incredibly enjoyable and nostalgic!
For those who truly enjoy a real Smashburger and an old-school no-fuss experience, there is no better place on-island to get a...
